Front shocks are attached with 1/2" Bolts. The upper studs on the rear are 1/2" also. The lower rear eye bolts are 9/16" bolts. You use a 13/16" on the bolt and a 7/8" on the nut. Good Luck. Off the top of my head I don't remember the length. Take and old one with you. Also get some SAE washers and nylock nuts. Or NOT. Be Safe and Take Care.

This is 1/4" for the injector pump under the manifold. It's commonly scoped for fuel-injected systems, but also handles biodiesel up to B100. Aka... pain in the ass to reach fuel line, wanted to use something that would last. Never use 30R9 in submerged tank applications however... it will puff up.

Man that took a bit of doing. Turns out the local Sutherlands & parts stores don't stock 9/16 & the local fastenal was all out of the length i needed. finally got grade 8 bolts, nuts, flat & lock washers @ the local farm center. Rear shocks are finally completed. Went to look at the front to decide if i wanted to keep going & noticed the damper was...damp-ish. Pulled it off & i could actually hear something rattling inside, so damper got replaced instead of front shocks. Will keep those for another day

Been AWOL for a while....as far as my fleet was concerned. Finally got the badly leaking heater core replaced in my 3 color 1009. Didn’t drive it for months but did keep starting it weekly and batteries charged.

No leak, all is forgiven, all components functioning as designed....knock on wood.

New u-joints in the Dana 60 on my project. About a month ago one seized up and made for some interesting turning from time to time. I was thankful that I had a good ball joint press to press out the old u-joints, and press in the new ones. New Spicer parts went in and it should be good to go for a couple decades or more.

Picked up a CUCV II today. They're hard to find, so I can't complain too much about the shape. It's going to need a lot of metal work and probably a donor parts car. At least it runs, drives, and is titled.

New u-joints in the Dana 60 on my project. About a month ago one seized up and made for some interesting turning from time to time. I was thankful that I had a good ball joint press to press out the old u-joints, and press in the new ones. New Spicer parts went in and it should be good to go for a couple decades or more.

That looks like a brand new crate axle in that truck. Where the U joints just bad from setting in the crate? Be Safe.

Shame shame shame. Pulling a Chevy with a Dodge. I used to get all my CUCV with a CUCV then I had a Ford diesel and did I'd get the thumbs down and the thumbs up on the road during them trips. Used the roll back towards the end to haul 3 at a time. That was the way to do it. Looks good. Worst trip ever was towing an M1010 700 miles with an M1009 on a tow bar. Good Luck. Take Care.

I had the axle housing bare about 5 years ago, that is why it looks clean. Cleaned it with phosphoric acid, painted parts of it, put a new ring and pinion, bearings, seals, kingpins, kingpin bearings / bushings and brakes on it. At the time for whatever reason I did not replace the u-joints as well.

It was a nice project to swap the u-joints out, had it knocked out by lunch. Was glad to check the wheel bearings and make sure everything was tip-top.

Actually they are the hold downs for the folding jack handle that attach to the inside fuel fill cover on an M1009. The jack itself get mounted under the passengers seat on the M1009. I think this is the M1010 shown on drivers side behind seat. Oh I missed that one item you have shown at top. That is the common nail clipper with pivoting nail file. I would toss that one for recycling. A nail clipper is a hand tool used to trim fingernails, toenails and hangnails. Wanted to get an A+ on the identification of all items. I hope that is not lead paint the items are laying on. It's a lot safer, easier, cheaper, and comfortable to haul it with a RAM 2500 than my m1009.

Installed a GM GF647 fuel filter system along with new Gates barricade hoses to & from the housing. Took a bit to get it mounted since the bolt holes on the housing were a little ways off from the stock bracket mounting holes.

Found the PO had run 5/16 hose all the way to injector pump & just squeezed it down with a hose clamp, so at least i did did one better than him. Also found the Gates hose is pretty dang tough. Had a brand new razor blade knife & it didn't want to cut thru them for nothing.
