I wouldn't mind a picture or two of an injector and where/how one is supposed to bleed one. if it feels off-thread here, you could post in my thread for my new-to-me HMMWV. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?153694-Hello-from-Alexandria-VA/page4

Where the injector screws into the engine block there is the steel line that feeds each injector. Right there on top of the injector is the nut that attaches the steel like to the injector. Loosen that nut a bit till diesel fuel leaks out and that is how you crack an injector.

You will have to bleed them all. Some times you can get away with not doing them all, other times it's a fight. When you have white smoke coming out of the exhaust then you know you are partially burning the diesel. Usually a good glow plug session, and the engine is off to the races. You can do one at a time, but I found it easier to do a whole bank at time, or all of them at once for my tractors.

that is the front driveshaft after mudding too much.

the joint must have had a just the right sized rock get in there because we were not being too rough on the truck.

eBay has had great prices. $150 for the rear portion of the front driveshaft. Slipped right around the front portion. I can't find the price for my rear driveshaft but it was similarly priced.

A little more done.
I really like the look of hardtop over the cab (4 man passenger) area only. Are the hard tops easy to find without all the slant back parts? Any one know a rough cost on the hard top piece? It looks like it would be easy to make, but I have no facilities available for that type of fabrication.

The two man hard top vs the slant back kits are essentially totally different parts. The two man hard top is hardest to find IMO.

I know there are some guys here in UT that are building aluminum doors/tops etc for the hmmwvs. I think they have a slant back kit, a full hard top kit, a 2 man hard top kit and a 4 man hard top kit. they also run some interesting windows etc in them. if its your taste, check out what they have. I think the link is planbsupply.com. they also just came out with some mountable tent systems for the hmmwv. I am not affiliated with them but i have seen their stuff at car shows and survival/gun shows etc here.
