Happy Veterans Day! Glow Plug replacement day here in SC!

Got my title last Friday, Street legal and ready to go, trying to hit the road ..................only to find cold weather has struck me down doug damn glow plugs strike again!

Finally got around to replacing all the old glow plugs, Man you have to have Childs hands to get into some of those spots. Got all of them out and waiting on a new set to come in. Quick question, went to OHM test the plugs once out and am finding none of them have resistance. Could I have damaged them when pulling them out of the head? All 8 were a little stuck. Notice the last one (4) on co pilot side didn't even get tested. I used two different volt meters to check and 0.00 on all of them, the rig was starting ok, but who would have thought here in South Carolina, I emphasize South that it is cold enough to make cold starts almost impossible.

I ordered a power steering filter from genuine hummer parts. 12.00 for filter and 18.00 for shipping. Whata a ripoff. Cheapest I could find the filter was 38.00 but I hate paying more for shipping than the part. I want to change my fluid because it doesn’t look bright pink anymore. I will probably Turkey baster out fluid in reservoir add new, run it, Turkey it out again until it’s clean and change filter. I don’t want to introduce air into the system if I can help it. Trying to find a Dextron 3 but everything thing has something else in it.

Installed 100.00 LEDs from Amazon. They both popped after only a few seconds on. They also filled with moisture and there is some type of brown gel looking something on the inside of light. Theywent from Chrystal clear to badly clouded in a matter of seconds. Oddly enough the lights do work but the insie of lenses are ruined. I guess the brown stuuf was when from when something blew up in the light.

.
Depending on the manufacturer, a lot of LED lights are multiple voltage capable. I have seen 12v to 36v listed in ads. Not that it really matters if the packaging says twelve volt. :-(

Still, like @Mogman said, if they came with those wire adapters I would have expected them to have plugged into a 24v truck too...

What I’m trying to do is change/flush my power steering fluid. I’m having a really hard time finding Dexron III fluid and I believe that’s what it calls for. I see fluids that are compatible but I don’t think that’s the case for our system. What are you using and where are you getting it. I seen Valvoline Dexron 3 on their website but nobody sells it. I appreciate your help

I believe the Dex 4/5 is backwards compatible... Someone else chime in ? Don't have my fluids on premises or I would verify what I put in mine...
