The paint looks new on there. A clear indication more drivetime is needed.We sure got lucky with the timing and getting the tonnage across the border. Merry Christmas from our G749 family, to yours.
It worked out even better for me. For a few years I'd pop the stack off the truck, back it in to the barn, cover the stack with a pail.......forget, fire up the truck and hear the can hit the roof......then repeat. What a pleasure getting this short stack from down south......not to mention that secret rocket insert that still needs to be put to use. That cold weather should find you some more computer time for pics.......eh?

looking goodIt's been a while since an update. Not a lot of progress on the M135, but I got tired of fighting weather and not having a good place to work on it. I decided to fix that and build a proper place to work on things. The garage/shop is built and I had it made big enough to get the M135's in. I'm working on garage wiring and finishing interior and exterior. Also going to climate control so I can keep going year around. Once the garage is finished, I'll be back to work on the M135.

THAT is one serious road trip!Just got back home from a road trip through Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado, so it's time to get back to work on the garage. I have a little more wiring to do, insulation, sheetrock, paint, install the mini split and then move in.
Sorry brother I know we're using code words but just so everyone can see we're on the down-low.......that's supposed to read Mini Still but we just won't say it on the public forum.The garage dimensions are 25ft wide, 35 feet deep and the ceiling is 10.5 feet tall. The garage doors are each 10 wide and 9.5 tall. I'm not certain on the price of the doors since it was lumped in with the total cost of the garage. They are insulated since I am climate controlling. Lumber prices started climbing fast after I locked in the price. A few weeks later, the costs had increased over 45%, but luckily I avoided that. They've probably climbed even higher now.

Looking forward to some pictures of it coming back to life.Two years later, another road trip and another update. 1944mb and I drove up to meet m1010plowboy in Canada and bought some parts from him that I needed for my M135. Also got some G749 engine stands to use for the engines in my parts trucks. After many years of talking with plowboy through PM, it was nice to meet in person.
Plowboy, here are pictures of the TM, Technical Bulletin, Lube Order, etc., collection I was telling you I have put together over the years, that pertain to the G749. I'm not sure if I am missing any, but these are all I have managed to find since 2005.

After picking up parts from you, 1944mb and I went looking at a handful of CCKW/G506 trucks and one M211. I found the elusive middle bumper platform in the back of the M211 and bought it from the owner. It needs a few holes welded up and then put through the blast cabinet, but will be fine.

My garage is finally done and I have moved everything in. The M135 is in the far bay, the air conditioning is on and parts are making their way out of storage. Move in was delayed because my wife wanted to use the garage for my oldest child's high school graduation party. This is a picture of that, so you guys will have to imagine the truck and parts in there.

Lots of part sorting and prep will be happening now. Something everyone should probably check on their trucks is item GG in this picture. It's only referred to as Bracket Assembly in the Ord 9. Both of mine are cracked at the bend. These cracks were not visible under the paint prior to sandblasting. At the end of next month, I'll be getting these repaired.
