FYI - It quickly became annoying for me. I have a bolt in panel with the opening cut out which bolts into a slightly larger opening. I found the metal spine inside the attaching edges will work its way out of the rubber with repeated removal and reinstalls. The bolt in panel was an easy solution for this.Maybe for the future if I find manually attaching it annoying.
Will see how it goes, my original idea was similar to this and I can still add on the feature if I find it a pain, but then I also have to worry about bracketry to support that intermediate flange when tilting cab. Not a big deal just more parts. I'm going with the assumption, the truck will now be perfectly reliable all the time and I will never have to tilt the cab againFYI - It quickly became annoying for me. M1088 camper conversion
Used my mad skillz at MS Paint to skin the cabin frame and approximate some windows. For some reason, this makes it look more manageable to me, and it's almost right at the target of what I drew up originally for the exterior dimensions: There will be a window or two in the bedroom area...www.steelsoldiers.com

.Do either one of you have any photos of what stays where when the cab is jacked up im curious of what seals where and how when cab comes down ?
Ive got 6 or 8 inches between cab and box but i havnt come up with anything that either becomes a open door into box if thieves jack the cab up vs a rubber boot that will seal well enough to not become a water problem !
I can make a lockable cross thru door with maybe a 2 key deadbolt in it so you can access from box or cab but cant decide where to mount a boot either to box and cab set down against it fairly tight .
Its not my first choice by far BUT if there were tooooo many indians outside to limit my ability to get out of box to cab for whatever reason to leave it gives me another option for leaving without having to inflict carnage !.

I used two identical electrical cabinets manufactured by Hammond. They have quarter turn locks, although right now I don't have keyed ones they're just screwdriver turned but you can swap them out for pretty much any kind you want. They also have a nice rubber seal around the perimeter so if the cab is tilted or the accordion seal is not on there for any reason I can still have everything sealed up and secure.Do either one of you have any photos of what stays where when the cab is jacked up im curious of what seals where and how when cab comes down ?
