Pass through is all mounted! Very happy overall with how it turned out. Have some painting, putting in some soft pads to kneel on when crawling through, and the accordion seals but that's all easy stuff. Pretty easy to crawl through and I'm 6'4" 195lb. Kids can practically run though it. The overhead view shows the trapezoid shape, this is so the opening lined up on both cab and container like I wanted.

Looks like I have an exhaust leak. Looked like it was around the manifold but with closer inspection I definitely have air coming out the vband connection in front of the pac-brake. Checked air flow with a tiny piece of fabric and air from the pac is blowing towards the deposits on the head.
Surprised these v band connections don't use any gaskets, expecially with the large backpressure generated by the pac brake. I'll pull it apart and see if I can align the mating surface better.20240130_133042.jpg20240130_133202.jpg

Maybe for the future if I find manually attaching it annoying.
FYI - It quickly became annoying for me. I have a bolt in panel with the opening cut out which bolts into a slightly larger opening. I found the metal spine inside the attaching edges will work its way out of the rubber with repeated removal and reinstalls. The bolt in panel was an easy solution for this.

Final product:
Will see how it goes, my original idea was similar to this and I can still add on the feature if I find it a pain, but then I also have to worry about bracketry to support that intermediate flange when tilting cab. Not a big deal just more parts. I'm going with the assumption, the truck will now be perfectly reliable all the time and I will never have to tilt the cab again ;)

Do either one of you have any photos of what stays where when the cab is jacked up im curious of what seals where and how when cab comes down ?

Ive got 6 or 8 inches between cab and box but i havnt come up with anything that either becomes a open door into box if thieves jack the cab up vs a rubber boot that will seal well enough to not become a water problem !

I can make a lockable cross thru door with maybe a 2 key deadbolt in it so you can access from box or cab but cant decide where to mount a boot either to box and cab set down against it fairly tight .

Its not my first choice by far BUT if there were tooooo many indians outside to limit my ability to get out of box to cab for whatever reason to leave it gives me another option for leaving without having to inflict carnage !

I used two identical electrical cabinets manufactured by Hammond. They have quarter turn locks, although right now I don't have keyed ones they're just screwdriver turned but you can swap them out for pretty much any kind you want. They also have a nice rubber seal around the perimeter so if the cab is tilted or the accordion seal is not on there for any reason I can still have everything sealed up and secure.

That looks great and i see the locks ! When you jack the cab up does the acordian boot stay connected to the tunnel or to the cab ?

Whichever I want. I would likely pull it off the cab. Fits the same on both sides of the seal. There is a metal spring inside the rubber and you just push it on the flange.

Ah ok so if your gona jack up the cab just undo 1 side or the other ! Where did you find this stuff at ? Thanks
