So i measure voltage at top soleniod and only get 5 vdc and will not start. I changed start switch for a new one and the issue persists. If i apply 24v from the alt/generator it will start right up and run with no issues. Any pointers?
Ive had luck resurrecting stuck pumps by leaving them in parts cleaner over night and then running them submerged in it. A few taps can rock it loose.. My 2 cents.
The only part bad on my 1040 was the fuel level sensor. I had read there was a recall on the original part and a replacement was issued. I could not source the new part anywhere so I found the original on fleebay and its been working fine for more than a year.
Original Fuel sending unit part...
So I got this 806a off auction and its kicking my arse. I know not to trust meters but its probably right at 50 hours since i does not run right. Let me explain.
After adjusting the governor, since it had a temperamental actuator, i got her to run steady and produce power. After a few seconds of...
If I recall, i took the pump out and made sure it was nice and loose. Put it back together and made sure the it was correctly seated with the rack springing back into place when the shutoff lever was moved. I cranked till fuel started coming out and it worked. If the rack seems sluggish, you...

Thats the only one that looks like mine. The other have a hole drilled in the middle.
Hey guys. I tore down an 803a lpw engine that had some issues and cant find a part number in the manual for this bushing/sleeve. Need to replace a few and the only number on the part is 3520. Anyone have these?
Absolutely...but at todays costs it can get expensive. Plus, I doubt id be able to get the same grade quality material for the long haul. It also looks tacticool and that makes for good conversation.
Ok. Looks like a small tank in the front only. I thought the whole base was a tank so its not worth it to me. I wanted to put my 1040 on top and slide it into my shed.
So im looking for a subtank for my 803a and found this pic. Does anyone if this is actually a subtank, how many gallons it holds or perhaps a model number to get some specs on it.
Funny, i actually have same setup. My gantry crane with a hoist makes it a breeze. The pallet jack helps to slide. Another way would be an engine hoist. Either way its a 2 man job to avoid damaging the chasis and enclosure.
I had to swap engines today. I must say that installing the engine with the genhead on and sliding it in is by far easier than the old method of seperating the genhead from the engine while still bolted to the chasis. Luckily i had this one that came from gp auction in crate that was good. The...
Alright! Just got the 005a thermostat and gasket in from Oshkosh. Thermostat came w/o box and the gasket in original package just as pictured. Thermostat is a Motorad 195° with 0821 marking on the other side. Will install tommorow and get her on the load bank.
