I will check tonight if I can otherwise Friday sometime on the threads. I know the bolts that hold the lower cover on the PDP fit into the ground tap (although too long) but the 12v is a bigger size. I did the mod everyone else is doing installed a 12v outlet into the lower panel using the...

    Transmission Fluid Mysteries

Question radbad... Did you have to remove the front driveshaft at the trans side to get the driver's side filter out? The procedure in the -20 says that is required. My 97 LMTV was about 3 quarts overfull when I got it from GP. Warmed up to operating temps, drove around for about 10 minutes...

    12 volt accessories

There is also a 12v un-fused stud mound (as well as a 24v and ground) on the left side of the Power Distro Panel in addition to the 12v wires already provided. Also, you can run your own battery taps/fuses off of the batteries if you know your way around a multi-meter. The way the batteries are...

    Flat towing a LMTV ?

I used Rounders Logistics to transport my LMTV on a flatbed and was very pleased and thankful I didn't self recover after getting the truck home and finding all the issues not reported in the GP inspection report. They are a vendor on SS in the Transportation Forum. I was a nay-sayer on paying...

What did I get and will it work on my 97 LMTV? Dearborn protocol adapter III Plus

Wasn't quite sure what this test set was when I bid $25 bucks on GL but I wound up with it. The kit looks pretty complete but no TM or CDs... I haven't done much research yet but I am hoping this would have capabilities to use it on the 97 LMTV... Maybe Suprman may know more details? Any help...

Thanks to Lmtv772 sending me a drivers door glass my LMTV now is all sealed up. FMTV Do You Leave your Cab Air Springs / Leveler Engaged?

Is the stowed position directly under the bags? My pins are missing. I would think the issue off-road is bouncing and jittering all over the place so the little level sensor would be trying to level the cab constantly.

FMTV Do You Leave your Cab Air Springs / Leveler Engaged?

Sandcobra164, no we are talking about the cab air springs and the holes and pins at the bottom of the brackets that the air springs sit in.

FMTV Do You Leave your Cab Air Springs / Leveler Engaged?

Shadowrwolf, I am looking at the -10 on page 2-373 and I see exactly what you are referring to. The weird thing is that this page as well as 2-375 which talks about changing CTIS settings are right in the middle of the 2-58. PREPARATION FOR INTERNAL AIR TRANSPORT (CONT) instructions. Almost like...

FMTV Do You Leave your Cab Air Springs / Leveler Engaged?

I noticed the pin mount holes in the air spring base on mine. The pins are missing with just the wire holders dangling there. Will fire up the TM in the morning and do some reading.

FMTV Do You Leave your Cab Air Springs / Leveler Engaged?

Bob, Yea I was concerned about leaving it on all the time and all the air bleeding out but I guess that is no big deal since you should drain your tanks if going to sit anyway. I was just wondering if you turn off the valve when raising or lowering the cab if there is a potential for damage or...

Troubleshooting Flickering CTIS Ovspd Light Above 25mph in Hwy Mode

1997 S&S M1078 8300 miles. Just cleaned up after transport from GP. Went out for the first test drive of the M1078 early yesterday morning. Warmed the truck up to 165, verified CTIS is in Hwy mode with a SOLID red light and tire pressures are at 55psi. Around 25-30 mph the CTIS Ovspd warning...

Army PS Magazine Index of all FMTV Articles with Subject, Issue, and Page Numbers

I updated my posting to indicate the privacy warning for some devices before the link. It works ok on my desktop where I did the search and found it. Checked my phone and it gives me the same warning you received. Looks like its certificate is not up to date. I had an option to bypass and go to...
