What have you done to your HEMTT/PLS/MK48 this week

My M985 is going to be used as a stage this weekend at a military benefit car show. I pressure washed the truck then sprayed it down with WD40. I can't believe the difference in the CARC. The chalky look is gone. I will let it dry out before going to the show setup and still have to clean the...

    A Cat yellow Detroit?!?

I have seen one and with the same mileage you have. Does this happen to be in an M1031 that is painted Black? If so I know for a fact that it is actual miles as the underside shows little to no use. I owned it atone point if it is that rig.

What have you done to your HEMTT/PLS/MK48 this week

Built another remote cable today for a remote I have sold to a HEMTT owner then went ant tested, works great. Built the cable from one pulled out of an M977 that ran from rear to frt. I do believe there is a warehouse in area 51 stacked to the rafters with remote cables for HEMTTs. :)

    ABS on after overcharge

I can't find the old post the describes what part is burnt in the ABS module when an overcharge happens. I am looking at two friends trucks that overcharge at start then drop to normal after a minute. I am looking at repairing the ABS modules but can't find the info I need. For what ever reason...

What have you done to your HEMTT/PLS/MK48 this week

Well, I got the rest of what I paid for off of the 1984 M977. The drive train may be going to a member in Washington, if not it will be available. It is sad to see one come to this but it beats just being completely chopped up anyway. Here is a picture of what it looked like and what it looks...

    Trying to dismount a tire

I dismounted 4 of these for a company and found that for whatever reason even with a 3/4 impact heat was required to get them off. We still had to cut 4 studs on one wheel to get it apart. New studs and nuts are available through a few vendors. Needless to say it was a long day. We had to...

What have you done to your HEMTT/PLS/MK48 this week

I made a deal to get myself a bunch of parts from a 1983 M977 that is on a scrap contract. I have already got the cab and radiator and part of the deal is for all the tires/wheels, winch system, generator, batteries and crane controls. I will also get some other misc. parts and will have at...

Words mean things. Or, Nomenclature for beginners.

Always remember to thoroughly inspect your Knudsen valves as when they start to wear you will have a reduction in displacement. Also, never let the feces hit a rotating oscillator for a mess will be created. Clutch belts do exist, ask anyone with a snowmobile. And finally, muffler bearings can...

    Replacement fuel lines, clear plastic?

He asked about fuel line in the OP, not air. Most guys go to commercial hose companies for fuel, air and hydraulic hoses, fittings, and parts. I have a company near me called EVCO House of Hose and have been there may times for my air/fuel/hydraulic needs and the prices have been very reasonable.
