I was thinking about one of the Oshkosh tow bars but I think I will just stick with my Heavy as I have on truck storage for it.

How well did the M936 tow the MK48? Curious as I would think the MK48 wrecker would push the M936.

I agree, 50" seems pretty short. I have a Heavy Duty tow bar that is carried on the front of my HEMTT just in case. I also have two sets of feet for it so my HEMTT can tow a 5 ton if needed or even the larger rigs like an M920 or such. Not sure how long my bar is, but it is a lot longer than 50".

There should be a wiring diagram on the inside of one of the panels. This will help you inspect the electrical being correct.

Mount it right behind the grill. I have a HEMTT that has both air and electric horns from the factory and the electric one is just behind the grill.

That is deffinately a grove crane winch from a HEMTT. It is only rated to lift 5400lbs max. So unless you build a crane it is a bit useless. Here are pics of a frame mounted winch on my HEMTT that is a 20K lbs unit. The LMTV/FMTV setup is very similar.
