    some M931 questions

Many bob them to get the GVW down as some states require class B CDL to drive them. I you are going to haul an actuall 5th wheel trailer with it you will likely need a class A CDL. I myself don't care for the bobbing as they ride even rougher than with 3 axles.

    some M931 questions

I have an M923 that I take to car shows from time to time and it is as I got it except for the addition of a winch. People around here enjoy seeing it and ask all kinds of questions. The biggest mod I see done to M931s is to bob them and install an M105 bed on them. I can't say what else is...

    Sounds of Freedom Car Show

This car show is in appreciation of our military men and women. All MV's are welcome as well as all show vehicles of any type. Mtnsnow and I are planning to set up a compound with at least 5 M939 series tucks with trailers and camo netting. We will welcome anyone who wishes to join us. We will...

    Red River Refurb over heating...

I don't trust RRAD O/H'ed trucks. Saw one with less than 100 miles from O/H with a seized engine. I would open the drain valve of the rad and see if anything comes out and if it does is it red/rust colored. If it is you will need to flush the system or maybe even pull the rad for a flow test and...

    Sled pulling with a 5-ton (and a M920)

This was my pull last fall in Ogden, Utah. I pulled right after the "Pro-Mods" so the sled was maxed out. I was in low 6x6 and 1-2 gear, should have just went in 1 though and next time I will. Still pulled 244' on a 300' track. I think if I had been in 1st I would havd full pulled because I lost...

    Issues with SF-97

Tell me about it. There isn't a logical pattern the what the put an EUC requirement on or not. I had to do one for a MEP804A but not M923 or M925A1. Go figure. Plus I got a letter from DLA explaining the restrictions on me if I choose to resell at a later date.

    Gov Planet Title Issues

GP reissued an SF97 to me on the M923 they had the S/N wrong on, they did NOT charge me again as the problem was on their end and they sent me a prepaid FedEx shipping paper to return the incorrect SF97 and transfer and I received the correct SF97 with transfer paper yesterday. Here in Utah they...

    Oshkosh Corp Mdl:K2358

Ya, what would a city public works do with that mutch truck? Seems to be overkill for most city jobs, but then again they probably got it for free.

    Issues with SF-97

I am waiting for mine to clear for a generator that closed April 14. My friend had his clear in 10 days so there is no ryme or reason to how they are done. My EUC status just saus "Sent to Battle Creek."

US made Mil Veh manufacturers list needed...

And I never saw Rolls Royce as the built in New York and supplied cars for WW1.

    EUC Status "EUC sent" ?

I have one in Battle Creek and wish it would get through already. My friend and I have 2 Gens and 13 tires to pick up and it would be nice to do it in one trip instead of three.

Question about installing rear winch on 925

When you tee into the front winch lines you will need a selector valve to switch from front to rear. Should be an easy adaption and you could just run a cable control to the cab to operate the selector valve. I have been thinking about doing the same on my M923 but have other items to do first.

    20k winch questions Help

Pictures probably won't help. Just make sure that your cable reels off of the top of the drum then test wind/unwind at controls. If it is operating backwards just swap the hoses at the winch drive motor.

    20k winch questions Help

OK, here's the deal. My cable was reeled onto the drum backwards. As I said before in that configuration it will reel up the cable but has ZERO pulling power. It wouldn't even pull a little tree out of wet ground. I have rewound the cable in the correct direction(cable coming off the TOP of the...

    20k winch questions Help

Still seeking an aswer the question #2 and #3 though. I am going to rewind my cable this afternoon, swap the Hydraulic lines back and retest. I may pull the filter and retest also. I thnk a 12K lbs wrecker in park will test it.

    Wrapping steering wheel.

I had thought of "6X6, when 4X4 just isn't enough."

    20k winch questions Help

Managed to find 1 diagram in the -24 that shows the cable reeling in over the top of the drum. So I need answers for my other 2 questions to clarify cable wrap. I guess I could always rewrap and test but that is time consuming to say the least.
