Yes, Michelin XL is directional tread but I don’t believe they have directional arrows on the sidewall. I believe the trucks were built with them in the correct orientation, after that all bets were off, and spare and such got installed on whatever side of the truck was needed. I had several...
I don’t think they are a gimmick, the military just never used them properly, and don’t apply to most civilian usage. I’m think the bigger, more powerful version makes better sense for 90% of applications.
Thanks for the link Mr 98G! I’m still very interested in yours as neither of my trucks have seats. Also thanks for the offer on the room! I don’t think we could do that (we try to keep the “boys” outdoors as much as possible) especially after 7 days in the back country🦨 Hopefully we can find...
Anyone have any troop seats for a 5 ton dropside or m35? Preferable nice, green fiberglass, but would even consider a “junk or rotten” set just for the hardware.
If your dead set on those solargizer panels, post an ad in the parts wanted section, and install the complete unit, but know these little ones are meant to help maintain the battery level, not charge or keep up with any parasitic draws. With an aftermarket controller I think these little panels...
There is one on ebay for too many $. Search Solargizer. I have a NOS one I might let go, will have to see if I can find it. IIRC I checked the open current voltage of these tiny panels new, and it was minuscule. I will try to remember to post up a voltage number for you if I find it. I think the...
Perfect, and I will still pay you for them! [emoji6]I assumed they were gone, I guess your ad got pruned. If I don’t happen to come up with something from this ad, I have a backpacking trip planed to Idaho in mid July with some of the Eagle Scouts from my sons old troop. Looks like you are just...
I the ad states, I prefer fiberglass. However, I’m running out of time for when I’d like to have a set to use this summer, if not it will be straw bales again. Making boards is not an issue for me, but would still prefer ready to use, especially fiberglass… Taking a long shot hoping to find...
Edit: Now looking for just a set of short front side racks, for my M925a2, or from a M923 should work as well. Mine are in very rough condition. I already have a headboard, troop seats, cover uprights, bows. Looking for green fiberglass in good condition.
Thanks!
Be careful before spending a lot of $ for the numbers G posted. The descriptions and pictures of those I’m finding don’t look correct, but it could just be the photos…
These are pics of mine
I may have an extra, but will be next week before I can look, and will have to think about whether I...
I think there was quite a bit of useful information on trans choices and clutch challenges buried in this thread somewhere between all the mom and sister jokes.

The focus and angle of this picture sucks, but may give you an idea what you’re dealing with.
There is an upside down u shaped standoff support bracket with two bends. Wild guess it’s about 1-1/2” wide, and stands 2” off the tank bottom. Any bend or angle on your pickup tube and you can’t get...
Also, what is your typical “heaviest” gross weight, do you ever or frequently pull a trailer, what engine at what horse power lever do you have? Reason I ask, I wondering if 1 ton dually axles would suffice? They can be had cheap and some have reasonably high gears. IE Ford F350 6k front, 10k...
