M1009 trailer wiring harness to standard civilian trailer harness

I used the trailer connector. cut down the wire and traced stuff out. I connected a 7 pin, then used an adapter for the 4 pin hook up. Now I can hook up any city trailer as well as the normal mil spec trailers. Works great and it was fairly easy to accomplish !!!

CUCV Replacement Heater Cores - No or Low Heat Output Reason

I used the heavy black dense foam you can get at a good hardware store. One side had adhesive backing and I think it was 3/16" thick. Worked good, I have no idea how long it will last.

What Size Wiper Are You Running?

I had 16" wiper blades when I received my M1009. I replace those with 18" one and they worked really good. I just bought a set of 20". They fit and I am going to give them a try. On another note, my wipers stopped working for me during a trip the other day. Pulled the wiper motor off the...

    Rubber Plugs

Same here, used ACE as they seemed to have the better selection of plug sizes. The 1" size fit, but could easily be pushed through, so I used just a small amount of weather strip adhesive to hold them tight. Worked great. Now I just have to the the top off and replace all the gaskets...

CUCV Replacement Heater Cores - No or Low Heat Output Reason

I used the Autozone Spectra unit and it worked great, even when it was 10 degrees out. Fairly easy job, just remember to retighten the hose clamps after two or three heat cycles.

    Unity Spotlight

Sorry, yes, the ones that mount on the A pillar on the front, same as the police cars. It looks to be a tight fit on the blazer, so I am not sure if any will fit, although I believe I have seen several members who have done it. I am going to mount twin work lights in the rear, but I am going...

    M1009 Receiver Hitch

lindsaym Just got back to CONUS, sent you a PM. After reading through all the posts, I'll add to my PM by saying I did check all the bumper mounting hardware when I installed the combo hitch to make sure all was sound. Like I said, I have hauled 2000# of hardwood flooring for over 30 miles...

    M1009 cucv noisy inside

I like those headsets, they do work great. But $20-$50 vs $550 ? Headset would look cool, but I'd save the dough and go low tech.

    M1009 cucv noisy inside

I did that roofing seal stuff sold at Home Depot. Put it in the doors, under the hood and a few key pieces in the back. Then I bought some of the 2'x2' rubber floor tiles (grey) and used them in the back on the cargo floor. Fit great. Oh, and I just slammed the back seat down and the holes...
