    M-1009 Jack Hold Downs

Those jack and jack handle hold-downs are way too expensive. I'd love to see a less expensive (and well built) option out there (hint).

    CUCV Locking Fuel Cap

I would love a locking one. And like Durango said, more to keep unwanted stuff out of my tank. I like the larger fuel tank opening on my 09, as it allows for fueling options if the need were to present itself.

    Are the two interchangeable?

    Changed ALT 1 Belt

Thanks Warthog. I was just about to ask where I can buy some new pulleys that would fit. I check the local NAPA tomorrow and see what they have. I can't stand the squealing.

    Changed ALT 1 Belt

My Gen 1 belt give it up a few days ago. Read the wiki and went to NAPA and picked up a 15585 V-belt. It was about an inch too long. Brought it back and got a 15575. Fit perfectly, right in the middle of the adjustment window. Your results may vary. All belts are new and I don't know how...

    m1009 spots

Mine did the same thing, but only when I drive it from CT to MD, on those types of long drives. It srill does it from time to time, but during the fliud and filter change everything looked normal and clean, so I also think it may have been coming from the vent, as the pan and seal areas are...

    M1009 Horn Replacement

OK, driving back from Boston, some yutz cut me off and I went and used my horn for the first time. Well, it sound weak, real weak. My wife couldn't stop laughing it was so bad. She kept on nailing me with "big bad truck and you have a Prius horn on it". She was having a good time at my...

    CUCV slow off the line

Just changed the fluid/filter on mine and it takes her time shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Doesn't appear to be slipping, just likes to hold 2nd a bit longer than I think is normal. Mine also has a slight vibration too. Anyone have any clues?

    Changing Fluids Tomorrow

Changed and the fluids and filters. Pulled the transmission pan and changed the filter, nothing to note in the pan. Found a washer type heavy magnet in the bottom of the pan and mine already had a drain plug, with magnet on tip. All things considered, there was not a lot of metal in the pan...

CUCV 01 finaly made it to hamburg germany

Nice looking truck, nice work. Yes, the DOGHEAD mod is a must do. Save yourself from a meltdown. What a the round containers left and right sides of the rear cargo section of the truck? They look like storage containers (nice idea).

    Alternator Rebuild

Where did you get the rebuild kits? The only source for a complete, correct and quality rebuild kit I knew of was cucvelectric and they are in the process of regrouping to better serve the customer base. I need to do mine and would love to find an available source sooner than later. Thanks,

    Changing Fluids Tomorrow

Changing my fluids tomorrow. Oil and filter for the engine and trans. For the trans, is there anything else I should do while I'm in there? Everything is running ok for a 27 years old truck, but I figured enough folks have poked around these automatics to know what needs attention and what...

    Diy Winch Install

Yes, an M1009. I don't know about anyone else, but that setup would look great on the front of my truck and solve a few mounting issues. Let me know if it is possible. Oh, I finally got around to installing those grab handles. Extremely good fit and a fairly simple install. Thanks for that...

    Diy Winch Install

I meant to include the skid plate also. What would be a price to make up that set up for us who can't weld?

    Diy Winch Install

Awesome setup. Will you be fabbing up some sets of all the brackets to accomplish this install? I have a winch and wouldn't mind looking into a set.
