    T-Case not wanting to shift

Since you can hear the solenoid clicking, the electrical side is ok. If I remember correctly, the solenoid is on the driver side frame rail and supplies air to the actuator on the transfer case. You'll need someone to help but you can crack the air line going to that actuator and if pressure...

Found a M221 Tractor in Yuma, thinking of a rescue

You should present your workplace with all the data you have that shows vaccine bad.

    T-Case not wanting to shift

@Mullaney The cooler is on the passenger side of the engine. Follow the bottom radiator hose and you'll see it. Try shifting the transfer case with no air pressure. If it shifts good, the problem is related to the interlock. Mine was hard to shift until I took all the pins out and...

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2021 - September VOTE HERE!

I guess I’ll share a little bit about mine… 1985 m923. The biggest thing that sets it apart is the 13 speed Eaton Fuller. I’ve also added an ht60 turbo. Plus a ton of other smaller, less exciting, things. I don’t use the truck for anything other than a toy but it does a great job on toy duty...

M923A1 won't shut down using switch

Switch on, the solenoid should have 24v. Switch off, there should be no power at the solenoid. If that's what you have, the solenoid is bad.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

That saves a lot of money and aggravation in the long run...

    6CTA compound turbo?

There is a guy on Facebook that did it. You can put compounds on anything and it has probably been done thousands of times on 8.3s. You just need to do a little reading and understand the principles of operation. I’d guess the biggest challenge will be packaging under the m939 hood. Unless you...

    My M813 gets a turbo!

This is the best thread I’ve ever seen on here. You did an absolutely incredible job. Also a great job with pictures and documenting. Keep us updated on how the paint holds up. I’ve tried a couple different paints over the years on manifolds and never could get them to last very long...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I bought 4x4x16s. I think they wound up being around 13’ long. The stock boards were 1” tall so this raised it 2.5”. There are 5 bolts on each side that hold the boards to the bed and 3 indentions in the bottom of each one to clear carriage bolts going down through the frame. I just laid the...

    Air Brakes

This is true…I had 3 or 4 minutes in my head from the post above. I’m interested to hear it.

    Air Brakes

If it only makes 120 psi, not 150+, the ppv is fine..... Maybe make a video of what you're talking about. Sounds to me like you just have a leak causing it to cycle excessively.

    Air Brakes

I’d definitely do a little diagnosing before firing up the parts cannon…and even if it is the ppv, you can take it apart and fix it for next to nothing rather than buying a new one. That’s just my opinion.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I did put the box back together with clear silicone but drilled breather holes I drilled 2 holes in the bottom, coated the solenoid connections with liquid tape, coated the solder joints with dielectric grease, then gave it all a coat of fluid film. Hopefully they will last this time. Side...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Raised my bed up to give the 16.00s a little more clearance. Gonna give the wood a couple weeks to dry before I paint it. Then I wanted to drive it and it wouldn’t start. Narrowed it down to the pcb and took it apart to find this mess. The solenoids have a 2018 date on them so this happened in...

    My M813 gets a turbo!

Oh I see now. I guess I should have thought that through before posting at 3 am half asleep at work. Can’t wait to see the rest! I noticed the jakes and thought “this has to be the guy that fit them under the stock hood” and sure enough. Top notch work man.

    My M813 gets a turbo!

That is awesome. I have a suggestion though….counterbores and Allen head bolts. They look great already but I think that would make them even better.
