As of today, I won't be making the trip north.
Wife and son are real sick with the flu. Hotshot Trans is seeing if he can pick up my Gator and bring it to "bbf" place.
I will still be making a trip to Ohio, sometime before spring.
UPDATE>>>UPDATE <<<<UPDATE as of 26-FEB-2014
Trip is a go....leaving out on Monday (3 March) afternoon or early Tuesday (4 March) morning. I have a pick-up time at GL in Ohio at noon on Wednesday 5 March.
Looking to pick-up Adams trailer over by Lakeland, FL and take it to his place in SC...
I replaced the missing radiator drain plug and filled it with coolant. Let it run to operating temp and then topped off the coolant after it cooled down.
Let the transmission warm-up and added two more quarts.
I need to replace the battery that is mounted on the frame under the passenger door...
Got dark on me quick, After installing the tank. I trailered the truck over to the gas station and put $50 of diesel into the tank.
i'm missing the drain plug on the front diff and radiator, so got all the chains and binders off, started the truck and backed it off the trailer.
Took it around...
Moved the LSSV out of storage today. Brought it south to my work place in West Palm Beach. It's now 60 miles closer, but still 40 miles from house.
I plan on downloading it off the trailer and making sure the trailer is good to go.
looks like I will need a new driveshaft made up.....GL...
I still need to get tires. I only drove it a few miles, but it runs great. Might have to get new batteries or something is draining them after a few days. "To many 24 volt Trucks = a lot of Batteries and a lot of $$$"
Going to work on the LSSV tomorrow after work.
Not yet, but soon. My Military duty and my son's gun shows are keeping me busy right now.
I will have to off load the LSSV from the gooseneck trailer next week, so I can get it ready to recover the Gator at Bragg when the EUC clears.
Kenny, If my possible road trip works out, I can pick-up your wrecker body in Ohio. I won't know until my EUC clears on my Gator at Bragg and if I will be heading to Ohio for another drop-off / pick-up.
I won't be able to transport your trailer north, but will be able to haul the wrecker body...
This is for warthog.....I put a tape measure on the bottom of the frame and ran a straight edge from the bottom of the bumper to the tape.
looks like 4 inches. See pictures. Hope this helps you out.
