    2nd Alt - Help on Complete 12V Set-up

Just to clarify, the 12v and 24v systems are ok to share the chassis for grounding? You don't have to isolate them? Also where can I get the 24v/12v relay used to turn on the 12v system? Thanks!

    This looks bad

Ok, now that I see this is a hydraulic winch on an A3 I know you're not talking about the air filter indicator being in the red. haha

    Remote brake fluid reservoir

I put my reservoir in the cab behind my seat in the corner. I can see it every time I get in and glance at it while driving. Very handy place for it.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Front driver side hub boot was leaking (old zipper boot leaking at the zipper) so I've been working on that all weekend. I'm replacing all seals and packing bearings. The seals and the bearings looks great so I'm going to hold off on doing the other side until it needs it. Next is install the...

    This looks bad

You said a filter indicator was into the red, I figured you were referring to the air filter condition indicator below the steering wheel in the cab.

    This looks bad

I was just going to ask if there was fluid in it. Open the drain plug to verify the crack isn't in an area where there isn't lube. You can also see a decent amount with a small dentist mirror and a pen light through the fill plug on top. What filter are you referring to?

    This looks bad

I would certainly be making a stink about it if it was sold as a truck with a working winch.

    "Welded Rears" on a Deuce??

Woah, woah! All this hating on welded differentials is making me nervous! I trailer a jeep cherokee to offroad parks and I welded up the rear differential for an economical locker. They have a time and place to be used... But ya, a deuce on the road is not one of them. Keep shopping! I...

    long term storage of wmo

I read on here that the oil acidity increases with age and can do harm to nickel coatings on filter mounts. Not sure if that matters. I let oil sit for months, and I plan on letting it sit a lot longer.

Install Muffler, Install Snorkel on Deuce

I don't know which mod I consider more valuable, adding some car bucket seats in the cab or adding a muffler. There are several options for adding a muffler but I went the quick, easy, and cheap way with this pretty much bolt on set-up that fits behind the stock heat shield and eliminated the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Agree with all the above. I'll take function over appearance any day though. I already have Nissan Altima bucket seats installed in my cab so I'm pretty far past looking stock. :grd:

    need help finding WMO!

Heck, I have people dropping it off at my house once I got the word out. Seems like the culture around my area is big on changing your own oil and saving it for no reason so I keep finding normal people with 55 gal drums in their garages and nothing to do with it so they're glad I come and get...
