That is so cool.
Did they make a mess draining the oil?
We would always have the new guy(Soldier) go and change the oil on our Duces in the motorpool. They would get oil all over them when they removed the drain plug.

Yes, Fine thread.
From the world wide web:
1982 6.2's use course thread injectors. All other years use fine thread. All passenger vans and turbocharged trucks use short injectors. The early body style trucks (82-88 ) use long injectors. Late body style trucks (88-newer) use short injectors.
Here are two injectors: The one with the "Blue Cap" is for a 6.5L Turbo engine. The one with the "Green and Red Cap" is for the 6.2L non-turbo( nsn: 2910-01-150-0950) Hope the pictures help answer your question.

Thanks, I just got another set for $174 shipped from the same guy. That makes 24 new Stanadyne # 37818 injectors I have on-hand now.
Had to replace the drivers side door handle today GM# 15708043 LH cost about $36.00 shipped. Took all of 20 min to do.
Thanks "dilligaf". I do feel better (just a little) and the wife is happy too...she said, $800 is better then my outbid of $8,000.:(
By the way, were in South Florida are you ?
I just bought a New "in the box" 24 volt winch off E*ay for $800.
I was outbid on my GL items so I bought me a Chirstmas gift to make me fell better. lol
Now which truck do I put it on? Looks to be a good deal. I'll be picking it up on Jan 6th.

Yep, we turned in 13, M915A3 in July (all under 5,000 miles). Picked-up 13, M915A5's. I see a lot of the M915A5's sitting on different bases ready for issues. The new M915A5's are super quiet inside the cab (just like a car)...
The oil pan from a 6.2L will not fit the new GEP 6.5L.
The oil pan on this 6.5L should fit. See my rebuild thread.

The TM will tell how it's done. Print the pages out and show the mechanic.
You do not remove the water pump to replace the injector pump. Did they drop something behind the timing cover? Bolt maybe?
Here is the your fuel system out of TM 9-2320-363-24P.
I don't think its a check valve problem. Like some have already said...you are sucking air or there is no fuel being sucked from inside the tank.
