Nice job!! Too bad I don't live closer.....I would love to share my toys (Galion 15 Ton crane I've been refurbishing) for some work with that seeder (need about 5 acres done on a hillside). Your son does really nice work.
Very cool! The 8 rotax ultralight engines are a fantastic idea......cheap, reliable, and probably capable of flying the aircraft on 6. This all started with a kid using 4 electric motors and gyroscopic stabilizers to make an r/c hobby aircraft.
Close, but that would be 1.388 PSI (120 inches x 120 inches for square inches)
I did a quick calculation assuming 14R20's........14" wide. A square "footprint" would be 14x14 = 196 square inches at each tire (not exact but likely close). So say the front axle is measured at 16,000 Lbs...
A tires "footprint" is an elipse in shape.......so figuring the surface area will give you PSI at each tire once the axle weight is known (heavier in front for our trucks, though not sure about the wrecker). I know when we did our concrete in the pole barn it was all based on PSI rating. A...
I've replaced a boot for exactly the question you're asking (I filled it up with too much grease). Remove the plugs, otherwise you'll blow out the boot with grease. When I bought my 817 two years ago, I went around the whole truck with a grease gun (without reading the TM)....and made this...
There is a couple of us who've done it. I've got a Gledhill 11' municipal snow plow on an M925. I'm using the winch hydraulics to run the angle cylinders and a Haldex 24V wet system to run the lift cylinder. The mount is a Gledhill (specific to the plow) that I picked up in a junk yard...
Ditto on that. I had mine replaced by a local glass shop for $60. The owner of the shop new exactly what it was for when I brought it in. Safelite doesn't cut glass to spec....they use OEM or aftermarket glass pre cut vs. custom. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. They have replaced two...
Nice job!! Very cool. Nothing like green iron plowing, having fun! Here's what we do when done plowing with our green iron:

When I was in school, I did a technical report on the MD-500N (N for NOTAR: No Tail Rotor) and interviewed the chief engineer of the program (this was in 1989). We spent 15 minutes on the NOTAR program, and 1 hour on our favorite aircraft. Top of the list was two of the aircraft Kelly...
The drier is a spin on canister (looks like an oil filter)......should come off by hand. It sits right behind the primary tank , black can (post #7 : http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?100355-Air-system-relief-valve-opening-on-M925-Frozen-air-lines-valves). This will help once...
