Tried to change my spin on fuel filter today and I thought I could remove it without a strap....wrong...i checked the rubber lines on the base and noticed I could rotate the lines in the fittings while clamped down...wrong...bought some new clamps got the charger out and cranked till the truck...
I think if seafoam makes things better that parts should be replaced....i used it once in my car and it messed a lot of things up...i won't ever use it again...same with Lucas products..but to each their own I suppose...i just figure if those kinds of things help that parts should have just been...
Bypass resistor...i know this is old...gp relay will probably go out soon after so change that too.....gp should not see 20v that I'm aware of since they are 12v
The glow plugs are in a manual switch with the card bypass the resistor had already been converted to 12 volts to glow plug relay is new the truck runs perfect 90% of the time which kind of tells me that both fuel pump and injection pump are working correctly I'm thinking more along the lines of...
It looks like a well built unit ,
As far as going back to 24v it looks by the looks of the resistor delete that all you require is the starter and starter wire
Don't try to reinstall a factory resistor...it will just fail and catch fire
I arrived back at the truck today after 2 hours of sleep....pulled the drivers alt off and had it tested...it showed good so I reinstalled it and just pulled the gp card out I was thinking even with the manual switch it may have been causing some issues,,, volts came back slowly so I drove to...
I have a manual glow plug switch relay and a spin on fuel filter intermittently means intermittently it will go from running excellent to sound like it's pushing air to stalling to run an excellent again now my weight light is stuck on and the voltage is a couple of volts less than what it...
I learned a great deal about my truck in the last 7 years,,
Mostly all the problems that it has goes away with my paycheck....i just don't understand why when dealing with one issue all the rest have to happen..forcing me to have to try to find out what to repair first..my wait light stuck on...
My truck has an intermittent running issue where it seems like it is pushing air and after two days my weight light is stuck on and the voltage on my digital gauge reads less than normal but still above 24 volts:evil:
So I guess I made it worse before I could do anything with it....my voltage is normally 28+ volts at idle...now it won't go above 27 while driving and the gp wait light is stuck on now...i have a manual switch installed already
..any help guys?
