The megger is for condition monitoring, not troubleshooting. You start with a new set and when the reading drops below a certain value you send the windings out of a bake.
If you're blowing diodes your resistances are already in the ohm range and can be tested with a standard ohmmeter.

These hoses see 5-10 psi. It will hold with a clamp on the tube but if you want a barb you can flare the tube and use one of these.

I do not recommend worm drive clamps for small diameters. Use a pinch clamp. They're inexpensive and so is the install tool...
I would hose it. Use SAE J30R10 hose with FKM tube and cover and it will outlast everything.

Consider having a manifold fabricated to mount the turbo in the Banks location. A decent fabricator could add a turbo pedestal to a stock manifold using powdered nickel metal spray. It won't be pretty but it will work.
Or you could build a tubular manifold like the HMMWV has.
The pliers are available in clockwise and ccw rotations. If you're only tying pairs of fasteners you can do the ccw manually but if you're doing larger groups of fasteners you may want both directions.

If you expect your tie wire to see any exposure...
Dosing with SCA is supposed to be once every 300 hours if I remember correctly.
ELC coolants perform better provided the system is clean.
Not all ELC coolants protect against liner cavitation. Not all engines need protection. For example, Caterpillar requires a hybrid coolant with nitrites...
When you see this line: "formulated to be compatible with antifreeze/coolants of all major producers. " It can't be a conventional inorganic acid type coolant.
FYI, SCA has always been pink.
Any coolant you buy at the auto parts store is going to be an organic acid type coolant. Conventional coolants are no longer sold at the consumer grade level.
If you do want a conventional coolant Caterpillar DEAC is still available. This coolant does require regular dosing of SCA.
If you want...
The part that everyone misses is the direction of the twist. It's clockwise for the first, counter clockwise for the second. It continues to alternate if you are joining additional fasteners. The second video does this incorrectly.
The goal is that the wire that wraps around the head of the...
Here is a short article on diode failures. It sounds like your exciter is damaged. I would suggest taking a resistance reading on the exciter.

Header wraps cause crevice corrosion on stainless steel piping. If you're dry all of the time this shouldn't be an issue. Heat shields are more effective, though. If you follow that route. Copy what modern cars do. They routinely pack hot exhaust systems in cramped places.
Less back pressure is always better. On a naturally aspirated motor the high energy exhaust pulses in small tubes travel at high velocity which reduces their pressure (Bernoulli). A turbo engine benefits from no such effect post turbo. Bigger shorter straighter is better. With that said, I don't...
The only thing you need done is to have the cups replaced. The rest of that is unnecessary up sale. Remember, fuel is leaking ino the coolant. Coolant isn't leaking into the injectors.
Look closely at your timing cover leak. The gaskets are not prone to failure. Timing covers crack from poorly...
Everything looks great.
Not to be a negative Nancy but upping wiring gauge for no real reason puts a lot of stress on the terminals. This applies to many applications. I get stuck with many controls and automotive situations where someone uses 14 gauge in lieu of 18. The heavy gauge wire...

I am an operator of marine diesel engines. I have made some observations with regards to temperatures. It's generally understood that higher engine temperatures do result in lower cylinder wear rates. I believe the wear is a result of corrosion due to condensation in the crankcase.
With the...
