I noticed (after the motor was in) that the FDC was not bypassed on this motor. . . wondering if I should go ahead and do that or not? If the military saw fit to bypass them. . .
As requested. . .
Got the motor in and running, still need to install the trans, and PTO, winch driveshaft.
Both the fuel supply/return soft lines were leaking after installing the motor. Loosening them to remove the old motor and hooking them to the new motor caused them to leak from cracks...
I'm in the same boat with mine, just got a replacement engine installed and test run, and fuel lines that didn't leak before my swap now leak, but at least I know which ones!
A while back there was some discussion about trying to get the manufacturer to do a run of boots in Black, has anyone heard anymore on this, I really want to use the silicone boots, but not in the rainbow of colors currently available. . .
Nevermind, just found them at Boyce. . .
What was the sale number?, if it was a scrap sale, number 6000 or higher, GL won't issue an SF97. . .

I am, it was a PITA getting it out with the winch in place. . .
Plus the clutch needed to be inspected. . .
And I have a very nice rig to set up to install and pull transmissions from these trucks.
Here are some more pics, I forgot about the smashed airlines and such in the chassis, so the motor did not go in today. . .
Some pics of the spin on install, and the pyro install, along with the manifold flame heater elimination. . .
