M1031 mods
Did a few mods over the weekend to my M1031. Made and installed a ladder to gain access to the roof, installed two flag poles, fixed an annoying rattle move the fuel tank shield away from the frame, and installed a 12 volt remote jump station so I can charge batteries to jump start...
Lucky you! Where I live if it isn't nailed down really well it walks off never to be seen again! I even have wheel locks so t hey don't steel my tires!
You can buy them new at autozone. About $25 for the ignition and $20 for a set of two door locks! Ignition key and door keys are different just like on a civy truck. Square for ignition round for the doors.
Missed the M1009. I for one had a great time. Really liked the 43 CCKW with many original accessories! Reinforces my belief that military vehicle people are exceptional people. Thanks to everyone who attended!!! Scott when and where is the next mini rally?
They are not trailer lights. They are Chevy step side and medium duty truck lights. I even used the Chevy medium duty truck license plate bracket to mount my plate?
Thanks for all the useful info. I have a line on a 700R4 out of a mid 1980 suburban with the 6.2 desiel four wheel drive. I was hoping it would all work out. What would be needed for the torque converter lock out. I am lost on this part. Thanks again.
