    We wash axles all the time, Not one failier yet due to particals not getting cleaned out. Like said ALWAYS use a magnet. Cheap insurance.

    I just put a VALLEY on my dads 1009 today and it fits with no other mods than drilling 2 holes. It clears the pintle & cross bar with no problem. IMO, A great fit!!!

    The frames are not the same. It can be converted but there are many differences. One being the steering box is NOT in the same location, Also the rear spring hangers are different (about 2 in shorter).

    honestly a mechanical diesel dodge would be your best bet. solid axles, wmo capable, can seat up to 6 (extended cab)......Just sayin....
