whats a good price for this m1009?

Just "OK" M1009's with 60k plus miles have been drawing $2600 - $3000 before fees, recovery, maintenance, repairs, etc, recently on Gl. Makes no sense.

    Thinking about buying this Deuce

Looks like a very nice truck. You need to seriously think about the steering wheel / steering shaft issue. Smaller wheels can be had from 5-ton trucks, but will make your steering effort somewhat more difficult. As to shortening the steering shaft, I'll defer to those more experienced, but...

    Will need pickup/recovery help

I've got an M35A3 that's at the east end of Ft Jackson that hopefully should have the EUC cleared in a few days. Maybe we can find someone to haul them both north? Let me know what you think. Anyone local got any good ideas? Thanks- Don

dose anyone need a 6.2 parts? price is right!

My bad. I somehow read the post as items for sale. As to the "for Sale" in my sig - I'm certainly not the only one to have that. Move on.

New to SS and hobby from N. VA

    vin # question

The accuracy of the vin's listed in the GL ads are about as accurate as the ads themselves. Why is it a problem? You can't apply for an SF97 until after pickup so you can verify the vin.

    My bobber is finally done!

GREAT JOB! I really like the Deuce bed conversion vs an M105 bed. Now you just need to add power steering.

    EUC and titles

Virginia will not accept an SF97 reassigned from GL to get a title in VA. Virginia is one of the states that requires GL to transfer vehicles to purchasers with a title. GL was obtaining Florida titles in their name and then reassigning them to the purchasers. The last batch of titles I got...

GL "Management" - the guy behind the curtain...

So what I'd like to know, has anyone on this board ever actually spoken to "Management" at GL? I must say that I have had several good outcomes when I've unfortunately had to deal with him/her/them, but therein lies the issue - who is "Management". Why can't "Management" come out from behind...

    Making my laundry list...need input

Because it's easier. No cutting, straightening, welding, etc.. Cuts off probably a half day to a days work on the project. Many do it so they can use the trailers springs for the rear suspension also.

    GL moving your bought lots

I had an air compressor moved from the Air Force location at the airport in Richmond, VA to the GL site in Richmond. Fortunately they did not mess anything up, but they also didn't tell me about it. Showed up at the airport location on the appointed date and time and nobody was there. After...

Want ads should be posted in the classifieds. See the big notice on almost every page on SS.

    Making my laundry list...need input

Quote "One thing that I am very curious about is wheelbase as it applies to the bed...I'm obsessive-compulsive, so #1...the wheelwell has to be exactly centered with the rear tires...and is bed placement a given, or is there wiggle-room, as in can it be pushed back to allow room for a spare...
