Top Few reasons for selling a deuce?

Have you ever had a boat? They both can be a money pit, but they're both a blast to have. Just like an older boat, your not done when the entrance fee is paid, it's an ongoing thing and to make it affordable you have to be able to do most of the work yourself. I think a lot of younger people...

    The deuce and the HOA....

It looks like you already have an unfriendly situation. I would not educate the players and give them a chance to change their rules to just keep your truck out. I would take an inventory of the other vehicles to use if it gets ugly and use as a defense later if needed.

    Big boy tools for deuce

And I've used the compressor wrench to take off the wheel bearing nut. I've seen the geared wrench and need to get one, it comes in really handy when the inner nut tries to turn on the dual rears and is a leverage multiplier.

    replaced battery box

Great work! I thought about building another one, but bought a used plastic one. I paid dearly for it, but its one less thing to worry abo about doing again.

    Converting to dual alternators

Have you considered a dual output alternator? http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce-modification-hot-rodding/58477-12v-24v-dual-voltage-alternator-duece.html

    55Mph Detonation. . .

Did anybody post anything about ether starting and the stress it can cause? I didn't see any, but saw what I thought was a ether start bottle on the firewall. We'll never know how many of them were started that way in a previous life, but could that be a factor?

Need some help with Parking Brake issue

    I never asked the question.

How did you get your bed off.

I did something similar to wreckerman and did what KsM715 did. Just make your sure you have a way to handle it afterward. I jacked one side up at a time and used blocks to hold up. After both sides were up I put short peices of pipe under it and let it back down on the pipe. I then put the long...

    Starting a multi

Something blocking the intake is all I can think of if the ether ain't doin it.

    deuce headlight

99% of my DC electrical problems have been ground. You said it was good, but I would run a jumper straight from the battery(-) and test each light with it that way. May have to change it to the(+) with the original ground connected to see what happens. Just want to eliminate some maybes and...

Need some help with Parking Brake issue

In this pic I think you can see the other spring and that I need to reline too. My Dad used to get our dirt bike shoes done with thicker linings when the hubs were worn. Gotta see how much it costs, but it must be cheaper than new shoes.

Need some help with Parking Brake issue

When fixing it make sure they both move on the pivot points freely. Both of mine were frozen and took heating, beating and penetrating oil to free up. After I got them apart I cleaned it all up and used some high temp antisieze.

cost of ownership (the real cost of a deuce)

I have to add, research and decide what you want first. That winch, troop seats, heater or bows and cover could add a lot to an initially cheap Deuce if you want to add later.:-D

    Close but not done.

    Finally installed solargizer

Yeah Tim, real close now. The only thing left to do is hook up the rear harness. I'll never be finished with the details. My Goal is to make it to your rally in my Deuce!

    Solid vs. Zippered

I have to try the silicone, The regular one piece ones I got from OD Iron were put on about 3yrs ago and I've never left the hood with them. They look worse than the 15yr old ones I took off.

    Brake drum removal, m37

Looks like all the best ideas were already covered, but I'll try to add. The new Mapp is not as potentent as the older/less clean gas. You need a good quality torch from a Plumbing wholelsaler or such, that will generate much more heat than the ones you normally find at hardware/homecenters...
