full shut off solenoid on NHC250?

Yes. They have two types- the old one that came on the 809's, and the new ones which came on the 900 series. THe old one are very easy to rebuild(think like the doghead mod). I have been told that the new ones have potted parts, and are harder to repair. I have seen the inside of old one-...

full shut off solenoid on NHC250?

They also won't shut off if the control box has a relay that is hanging up. Ferro's 818 has one that doesn't shut the engine of right away- sometimes it takes 20-30 seconds to shut down. The one on my 814 kills the engine right away, just as god and cummins designed it.

    925 5 ton question - CDL Required?

Since the mty weight of the 925 is around 26000, you should need an CDL to drive legally. And, should you put anything in the bed, and you get stopped, the SC transportation officer WILL NOT be your friend.

What would you do for a Deuce

One jump for a deuce? As long as it was one of those tandem jump things where I could scream like a ninny all the way down with my eyes closed. I might crack open one eye for a second..........maybe. I see no need to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.

    814 Cummins highway fuel mileage?

I turn 6.5 MPG with 30k on the ground in my 814. Bare bones you might make 7, if you are real good with the throttle. You WON"T RUN 55, at least not for long. My 250 likes 2000-2100 RPM, will turn it all day long. That works out to 49-51 MPH. Any thing above 2100, and Mr. Cummins starts to...

    Why a 5 ton instead of a 2.5 ton?

If you have to worry about fuel costs, then maybe a MV is not the right vehicle for you. The one thing ALL MV's can do is suck the money from your fuel bill.

    Why a 5 ton instead of a 2.5 ton?

I wanted something that I could get of a gov. disposal site, and something that not everyone had. Class of license was not a concern, as I have a class "A". 1) deuces are a dime a dozen, and there are only so many ways you can dress a pumpkin. 2) 5 tons have power steering standard, and were...

    M54 GVW Question

NC is funny like that. It doesn't matter that it is a private veh, you are tagged as running with the big boys. Here in SC, they tagged the MTY weight of my M814 at 24,000, and told me not to put more then 2,000 lbs in the back, unless I had a class "E" or "F" license. When I told the lady...
