Yes the M36 frame is longer. 20' bed as compared to 14' for the m35. The M814 shares the same frame length as the m36, and the M813 matches the M35. The 813, 814 just have the higher load capacity.

I would leave them on. One errant missile from the roadway, and the tank is leaking( You should see what a 1/4 20 bolt does to an fuel tank when tossed off a tire at high way speed).
I would go 1.5"or 2" into a single 3", and bring it out just behind the cab on the right side, down low near the steps. Any large truck muffler will do, and it should sound great with a low rumble until you get above 3500 rpm, and then it will howl.

How does GL count days? I assume business days, not counting holidays. I count them as a day, so 100 day wait is 14 + weeks.
For GL, 14 weeks is only 70 days, if that is the way GL counts the days. Anybody have a clue?
What a read. I wonder how many of the MV's we buy have seen action? I was checking the pictures, looking for M814's, but all I saw was Deuces and regular bed 5 tons
