    Rear axle popping

Sounds like I have quite a few things to check.

    Rear axle popping

Well I'm pretty confident it's not the wheel or wheel bearings. To think about dogbones worrys me.

    Rear axle popping

From what I understand those bearings are the same as the wheel bearings. Can they be removed cleaned and repacked the same way? And is the preload procedure the same?

    Rear axle popping

Hey guys I've noticed a quite loud popping coming from what I think is the rear axle when I turn on a hard surface. I've noticed it for a long time but last night it seemed to get louder. Any ideas?

    Semi wheels on 900 series

Yeah I doubt the weight will do anything to change the top end. I think all it would do take a little longer to get to top speed because of rotating mass. but i don't think you would be able to even notice a difference. You will really notice a difference when lifting the wheel tire combo. I...

    Semi wheels on 900 series

If you want to run 445s it's going to be very pricey. A virgin 445 (nit a retread) is around $1000. And they will never fit the steers. As a matter of fact I don't even think they make a 445 in a steer. 425s might be close as a steer. They use those on big dump trucks and cement trucks...

    395/85r20's

I do comerical tires for a living. We use the slap hammer all the time. But to be honest with you, the only reason we use it is becouse the company has a no metal on metal contact rule. On stubborn tires a duck bill hammer works much better. You do have to be confident in swinging a hammer...

    Deuce tow rating

I'm going to have to argue with you on that one. Im going to say a single axle f-650 and a tandem axle deuce have that same brake shoe surface area. I've had them both apart and the f-650's might be larger but the deuce has twice as many. And bringing it back to the fact that a good trailer...

    Deuce tow rating

    He'll you're telling me a f-450 should tow more than a m35a2?

    Deuce tow rating

That's what I was thinking. Any large trailer should be able to stop itself. That's what trailer brakes are for. Plus I don't see how that brakes on a deuce are that inadequate. A couple of vehicles that might be in the same class International cxt- 40,000lbs GMC topkick- 15,000lbs F-650- Up to...

    Deuce tow rating

Never planned on having anything hooked to that truck. It's Curiosity*that killed the cat.

    Deuce tow rating

Ok I understand that the tow rating of a deuce is 10,000 lbs. I'm just wondering why. Is it based solely on the lack of power? I would just think that with size of the vehicle the tow rating would be higher. Large frame heavy truck and the hitch looks to me like it could handle over 10,000 lbs...

    Suggestions on Large Tire Balancing...???

Here is a link the the size chart. http://www.counteractbalancing.com/counteract/images/application1.pdf It doesn't list a 16.00 if that's what you have but I would go with 16oz bag. That's what we put in the 445/65r22.5. And that's a big tire. A little too much isn't a bad thing. I would stick...
