I went to the big car auction in Pierce, Ne. Saturday. I got a late start but I was hoping to get the top gear guys to put General Granite on tv again. unfortunately I got there to late for that. The nice thing about that is I was able to park right next to the cars and I didn't even have to...
I do not have a boost gauge yet. I took it for another run today. Going into the wind I was still able to 1900 rpm like yesterday. But coming back with the wind I was able to do 2200 rpm. I feathered it and went down a long hill, it was not a very big hill but a hill none the less. There is...
I bypassed the FDC today. Big difference in acceleration in gears 1 threw 4. Temps seamed lower. 5th gear I was able to get to 1900 rpm before I hit temps. I used very little pedal to do this. I am going to have to turn the fuel down a little.
I like the look of the tall box as well and better than the ones that the boxes are lifted to make them match the window height. Mine has a tall box as well.
I turned my fuel down as far as I could and then back up 2 flats. It was completely gutless, very quiet, but still smoked a lot. So I went to try and adjust the smoke screw. But I could not find it. What models have a smoke screw and how do I tell?

I drove it for a long time on the non turbo setting after I added the turbo. I have slowly lost power ever since I got it. I am starting to lose oil out of the bell housing after a long trip. 50 miles or so. It is usually about an 6 inch circle on the driveway.
I added 5 more gallons of gas and 7 more gallons of diesel to the mix to get to arcadia, Ne to get it ready for a parade tomorrow. There are a lot of hill in that neck of the plains. It did ok on the paved hills, but no better then it did before. The hills on the gravel roads were a different...
Update. I had the radiator off and adjusted the valve lash. cylinders 4 and 5 were tight and I could not get any feller gauge in them. This changed the tone a little, but did not help with the power. So I was thinking that maybe the cylinder had carboned up with the valves not being set...
A friend of mine was going to bring his welder over and weld on a few bolts that i cut the tops off, but I got tiered of waiting so I just used the duct tap method. It seems to be holding so far. Just kidding welded the bolts on in the driveway and put it back together. While the radiator...
