Tires are the coopers and have very good tread, wheel bearings were repacked and front end checked out ok. its more of a vibration noise that gets louder when I hit 50 in the M1008. Tires not new , but not rotted. May be I will have the tire shop take a look.

Yes , the vibration/noise get louder, as soon as I slow back to 45mph it stops. Its more noise than vibration like its the tire. Maybe out of alignment?

I have several cucv's and a few of them make the clicking noise when the igintion is turned on, this would be the relay switch engaging? The other trucks do NOT make and clicking noise, but still start, does the clicking sound mean the relay is working? Have not tried this in cold weather yet?

Is the rear with the 4.56 gears the reason it feels like my M1008 is always still in 2nd gear? Seems like it never upshifts to a higher gear?

I'ii change the oil and add fresh fuel asap, like I said the smoke has cleared and w/ new glow plugs it starts and runs smooth now. Still have to replace a bent drive shaft, it drives, but too much vibration . thanks

I noticed on my M1008 the dash Vin is off by a couple of numbers compaired to the door vin plate. looks like GL only looks at the door plate when recording the vin. for the sales. Which vin is the correct one, door plate, or dash? I want to apply to GL for my SF97 and would like to be correct.

Got my M1008 home today and realized the vibration is from a bent drive shaft. How hard are they to replace? Are used ones expensive and hard to find? What can I expect to pay for a used shaft? Can you drive short distances with a bent shaft?
