New Air pressure Regulator Not Working

Well I'm learning more and more about my duece. It has been making an air sound and clunk since day 1. I now think it is from the air regulator and more specifically the "cut-in". It cuts-out perfect around 120psi, but the pressure never really drops much. Stays pretty steady around 120...

Grease packingin hub, good practice or waste of grease

Fill hub Scoreboard: 2 No 1 Yes I guess, even if it never makes it to the bearing it still fills a void to help keep out oil, water, ect.???? Mine is already packed so I won't be taking it out. However, I'm concerned I didn't pack the bearings well enough so I'll be re-doing them...

Grease packingin hub, good practice or waste of grease

When you lubricate the wheel bearings should you fill the void area in the hub between the bearings with grease as much as possible? My grandfather always did it that way and I never questioned the practice. There is no mention of this in the TMs that I have found, just pack the bearings and...

    Outer rear wheel seals

I'm going back together with one of my rear wheels and has I was looking at the the outer seal. I was expecting it to ride on the beveled surface of the hub, like a picture I had seen from another link. However, the OD of the seal is only large enough to ride on the outer surface of the...

    Master cylinder Internal leak check

Anyone know the size of the plug that goes in the Master Cylinder when doing this test. TM just says remove adapter #11 and put in plug #13. Also, what size socket is required for the the wheel bearings? I was thinking it was 3" but want to be for sure because I want to buy one at lunch...

What are "Normal" Noises for the Deuce

I periodically hear what sounds like and air valve closing or opening while driving my duece. I hope it is not my front axle since it is air operated. I was thinking it might be the compressor kicking on and off like an A/C compressor might do on a car. Also, about 10-15 seconds after I shut...

    Pulsing Brake Pedal

Thanks for the help guys. The brake pedal is easy to push as far as a duece goes. I just feel the feed back. I'll check the spring just in case and will raise the wheels and check roundness. Thanks.

    Pulsing Brake Pedal

One of my deuces brake pedal has a pulsing feedback when stopping. If it was my civilian truck I would say the rotors needed turned but is this normal on some of the dueces. It stop quick and straight, just feel that feedback in the pedal. Thanks.

    A couple of newbie questions

Well it was ran about 20 minutes without the battery connected, does this mean certain death to my alternator? Also, I'd like to know more about the "Slobber tube" and Air pack venting brake fluid. Does it only do it when you shut down or while applying the brakes.

    A couple of newbie questions

I finally got my "PAID" invoice and drove down to look over my 2 M-35s to pull PMCS on them. Batterys on both were dead. I had already pulled the batterys on one before the Motor Pool Sargent came by and offered a jump. So with the jump it cranked right up. Question 1: Is it okay to run...
