Welcome to one of the biggest design flaws of the set... that flat TB nesting site. Good luck getting it sorted out. This is why EVERY set that leaves my hands, has mesh on the bottom as a standard outfit.

The MOV is an up-and-above addition to the quad fuse modification. Unfortunately I don't have an answer on your particular machine, but know on the smaller sets, the MOV is just extra insurance (where the quad mod is a must in my eyes).

That is no marshmallow taking a tumble off a picnic table... I actually thought it would have failed in a more spectacular fashion... but all the same, glad I was nowhere near that.

Yeah the side yard definitely has a FEL to pick up damn near anything you can imagine. They pick up gensets on trailers like popcorn... no issues. Guys at the yard have historically always been easy to deal with. I havent made the trek in a couple years, but I assume its the same group.

I am not even there yet, to figure out a price. I am not giving up on this yet, as I am sure it can be a good runner... I just keep pushing it off as other (working) machines arrive. If I do decide to chop it up, I will circle back.

There is someone up in NH offering a power plant 10kw 400hz setup for sale, definitely wading in the grey space with the writeup (and won't answer emails regarding technical capability of said sets...). He wants almost 4k for each machine, like 9-10k for the whole setup.

Too Long, Didn't Read: MEP-813A is NOT the same thing as an MEP-803A. I think with the storms that just rolled through the country, many people are anxiously looking at jumping on machines at auction... and I've seen it before, but not everyone either has all the info, or knows what to be...

I might have an engine becoming available. I have a lower hour (under 100) 803A that I might part out if I can't get the damn thing to make AC.

Good to hear. It doesn't take much in the way of throw, to totally change the fuel delivery. I like them, they are real smartly designed pumps.
