If it were me and noise were a true consideration for concealment purposes, I would be building a structure part earth, part concrete block, taking into account elevation and wind direction.
I am placing the order Friday. With folks here and via private contact, I am up to 30 switches. If we can get to 50 better pricing is available. As Electroswitch is based in MA, they are going to collect sales tax on me (and a 3.5% credit card fee). So basically each switch with freight to me...
Ive used an 8131 in the aux fuel position on the 802/803s, worked just fine. I have only 1 or 2 backup E1074s for my personal use, but otherwise I have 8131s in stock for customer machines. Got in a 2 hour tier reset 802 with a never connected facet cube pump... stripped the wires and crimped in...
Depending on the machine, some of the harder to reach nuts were replaced with caged nuts (like over the gen head) in later builds. Those are nice and easy to take apart.
Welcome to SS. I will never purchase, or recommend, the newest AMMPS machines for use in the civilian world. The second generation MEPs (802/803, etc) are the best option to me for civilian use. I am sure the AMMPs are impressive machines when running, but I have very similar concerns about...

I'd have to refresh myself via the TM on the wiring schematic, but the LPW2/4 glow plugs in the 80x series are 12V, wired in series like the batteries, for this application. Probably a similar setup on these from memory.
Yeah the gen side are all purpose built for this application. The gen side gauges fail very infrequently so it would be a tough sell for someone looking to source them, as there are surely minimum buys on these things. Hell... I couldn't get the OEM fuel pump manufacturer to even bite at running...
