Low hour M803A Fuel leak, Cover suggestion

I have experienced deteriorated rubber lines to the lift pumps, but not in the same frequency as the return lines. Those fail all the time.

Low hour M803A Fuel leak, Cover suggestion

Yes pull the rear fuel tank cover, so you can see where the return dumps into the tank. Pull the return line from the tank and pull back through the cabinet into the engine bay. Replace all return line South of the hard metal line with new. Replace the Ts only if you need to. Use zip ties to...

Low hour M803A Fuel leak, Cover suggestion

I don't... but its a rather low pressure line.

Low hour M803A Fuel leak, Cover suggestion

The fuel return is easy. The line consists of what you see, plus some 1/8" vacuum tees up at the injectors, and small lengths of line. Check out this thread: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/mep-80x-fuel-return-line.166040/ I use the Gates safety stripe in my return line replacements.

Convert generator sync box to 240v?

If you are looking for a sync box I have one, complete with cables. It is untested by me, but includes testing paperwork from the depot saying it was tested in 2015. If you are interested, send me a private message. Thanks

803 or 802 that is the question

802 with one of Kurt's remote start kits gets my vote for your needs: https://steelsoldiers.com/threads/mep-802-mep-803a-remote-start-kits.190193/#post-2360248

New to the group and have a question -803 in the back of a pickup

The guys in PA are top notch when it comes to loading, in my history. I've had some NG guys crunch up tail lights and stuff on me before @ Ft Drum, but no issues ever out of PA.

Gotta love folks with fork lifts (...one of the units here right now):

    Mep-802a part numbers for panels

I don't believe you will be able to. You see the code 'XDOZZ'? That normally means cannibalization only. See attached.

New Potential Owners - Generator Model Numbers ARE Important!

Not an excuse for the factory, but 2012 was the end of their contract. They weren't going to be reordering data plates for a contract that was about to end... so I can see how someone would have approved the plate installation (versus none... as the build calls out a plate there).

You will probably find the batteries are crap, even though never used. Look forward to updates when you do get it fired, or if you need any assistance.

The data plate with the NSN was correct, it was the data plate for the fuel/altitude ratings. Here is the listing for this chap: https://www.govplanet.com/for-sale/Generator-Sets-Fermont-MEP-803A-10kW-Gen-Set-Georgia/4219005

That data plate is wrong from the factory... you got lucky on this one. The genhead is shown as 60hz, all gauges the same, and the front of the machine has a convenience outlet (the 400hz machines do not). Data plate mixups are rare, but are documented.

Since the auction is over, you can post about it. What was the auction item number, or do you have a direct link?

    Ultimate well nut repair

And I want to go on record has stating I hate the stock well nut design (and placements). I just had to half disassemble a 2 hour tier reset 802 to replace one (grey too....).
