MEP-803A has zero compression and lots of soot

I dont personally think its out of line. Its not like you were trying to sell us some Amsoil or used tupperware with the post ;)

MEP-803A has zero compression and lots of soot

To the original poster... I honestly think you should acquire an 802, and sell off the 803 (acquire first, sell second... so you arent without). The 803 is just not a good fit for your needs. I think 40% is the absolute minimum you want to run, and even then... you are going to need to get it...

    Why go green?

These sets have published TMs, and even have an onboard wiring diagram to help you troubleshoot circuits relatively easily (if you know how to read them). If you have power requirements 10-13kw regularly... the 803s are hard to beat. 1040s are nice machines too, but its like working on a mid...

    MEP-802A/803A S1 Master Switch Source - Electroswitch

I've tossed many blue over the years. One example of what I would aim to avoid on my own machine. It often just shears off flush with the switch body. Cheap, cheap...

    MEP-802A/803A S1 Master Switch Source - Electroswitch

In my NOS 2009 unit, its outfitted with blue switches (only has 19 hours now since I've owned it). I will be pulling the blue switch out and using it as a part for a future repair... for whatever that's worth. Phenolic keyed shaft on the plastic unit, all metal on the Electroswitch. I'm not...

When you say old style, are you referring to the blue plastic Kraus & Naimer?

Low hour M803A Fuel leak, Cover suggestion

They look like they will work. Expensive, but should never fail. I bought a bag of 50 plastic Ts from the same place for short money. https://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=104481

Have you made good on this @Billy2642 ?

    MEP-802A/803A S1 Master Switch Source - Electroswitch

Tracking numbers were messaged. If anyone didn't get a PM from me... let me know. @bosko still waiting to hear back from you on the 4 you wanted, they are here. Thanks

Fuel drain cock leaking, help needed please.

Well most of these are NPT so I am thinking he might need to open it up to .84" for best fit (1/2 NPT). Not sure if that even has a groove for a viton ring or not, but its at least somewhere to start. https://www.suremarineservice.com/Hardware/NPT-Brass-Thru-Bulkhead-Fittings/FIT-693.html

Fuel drain cock leaking, help needed please.

What did he open it up to Mac? I would find an appropriate sized brass bulkhead fitting with oversized washers and seal it up best you can.

    MEP-802A/803A S1 Master Switch Source - Electroswitch

OK so they gave me a tracking number Monday, but it hasnt moved yet. I called them and they assure me its shipping out today. So if they hit tomorrow, all should ship Friday. Otherwise it might roll to Monday. Thanks for your patience.

Low hour M803A Fuel leak, Cover suggestion

What brand is that hose you don't recommend Ray? I haven't seen any issue with the Gates safety stripe (Nitrile Rubber). It is slightly undersized compared to whats there, but a little grease and possibly a little work with a screw driver at the opening and it goes on pretty well (helps when its...

Low hour M803A Fuel leak, Cover suggestion

John Deere makes a nice break in oil: https://www.greenpartstore.com/John-Deere-Break-In-Plus-Special-Purpose-Engine-Oil-TY26661-TY26663.html For the return line, no clamps are needed. Just use zip ties, as its a very low pressure return.

    MEP003 value?

That guy is a nutjob. I messaged him (his ad was grossly inaccurate... now its slightly better).

    MEP003 value?

How about this gem offered in NY at $1200? "Ran a few years ago"... I am sure it did. I am sure I also see fuel line fittings standing up straight in the battery trays...

    MEP-002A No Output

I would reach out to Delk's to see what they might have for you.

    MEP003 value?

Sometimes the difference is $12 in parts, absolutely. Those parts next to a machine, versus installed in/on the machine is where the valley lies ;).

    MEP003 value?

Verified running makes all the difference in the world to baseline pricing.

    "MEP Generators Versus Father Time"

I find interest to be very seasonal. I can range from a few machines in a month, to nothing for 9+ months. The larger concern for me is good inventory in the future. Whats being pushed out now is garbage compared to only a few years ago... we are already seeing "whats left".
