The greater question.... why? Is the stock setup no longer working? I would think better time and money spent would be to get the original configuration working properly.
First one bled just fine. Had dry rotted lines on it, all of which were replaced. This second one had no lines on it... so Ive been through the tank and the right angle elbow out of it... can only be so many things.
Well it seems the first unit is putting out power, just not registering on the voltage gauge. So to test that is next. On the second unit I have to take the fuel bowl off, cant seem to bleed the fuel lines at all... so there must be some dirt dauber BS in there (it had no fuel lines on it).
A likely scenario.... also likely that folks looking to DRMO out sets remove items to render them not working. I'm going through an 'unserviceable' tagged 803 right now. Missing the VR fuse, missing the battery fuse, nipped wire to oil pressure sender, rigid fuel lines disconnected and metering...
Ill check the level later, but upon a quick inspection yesterday it appeared to have just a bit too much in it. Ive replaced the fuse on the panel, and still no voltage. All wires appear to be intact and in their correct positions, but I have not verified by schematic.
I've got a pair of these that have been sitting here, decided to get one going yesterday. Runs (albeit a bit of a surge up an down, but only slight) but no voltage per the gauge. Is it these sets I remember reading about that if they have a bit too much oil, they dont run correctly?
I just...
Yes freights gone through the roof over the last few months. And the quality of service (and delivered condition) down... great combination.
Here are some examples of 'as delivered' on a couple shipments in.
Yes it ties into the system, burns diesel from the day tank. A rather rare option, only issued to Mountain troops best I can tell. Moves the start capability from the -20F of the stock system, down to -50F. But at those temps, fuel gel is a bigger concern.
Your machine should hit 180 or damn...
What is the minimum power use for each season... I assume you wouldnt have to turn on every heat zone, for example. What TX had is quite extraordinary (though getting more common)... but thats a LOT of power to buy a backup solution for '100 year storms'.
