Some of the 60's and 70's American cars used a power assist ram. I think Ford Mustang's were one and also some GM's. These should be much cheaper and a power steering pump should be cheaper and easer also.
I was just making a list of the lubricants that I needed. In checking LO 9-2320-386-12, 15w40 is listed not only for the engine but for the transmission as well.Any feedback?
I am looking for gaskets for my transmission, sprage transfer gear and axle hubs. Any suggestions? I hunted around a little and found one here and there.
RE: Light Bars
Rumplecat, I bet that everyone that looked at that photo tried to figure out how to help you, by getting get rid of that "pile of junk" for you. Cool stuff!

I'm doing the same thing. I bought a pair of lights off ebay and went to install them and found the locating tabs in the back were in the wrong place. You may want to go with name brand ones.
I have a guy that wants to buy my spare Rockwell axle. He doesn't want the brakes, so I pulled off the drums, shoes, cylinders and hardware. Should I bother with the backing plates and adjusters? 24 rivets and I really don't like rivets. What are the chances that I will ever need them?
My stepson's last day at the machine shop was today before he's off to Colorado for school. Five Dayton Rims followed him to work this morning and then one by one hopped up on the big lathe. When it was done I had 5- 3 1/2" pieces, ready to be part of a wide wheel.
RE: Re: RE: Ground is good
When you tested for power, did you test right at the socket? You should try testing both + and - at the socket if you haven't. If you have power there you have either a socket that isn't making contact or a bad bulb. If you don't try moving your black meter clip (-)...
