The USMC issues black plastic caps to go over the end of the barrel. They don't fall off, break and can be shot through. They resemble the caps that you find over new hydraulic fittings.
As for the rubbers. When we landed in the Philippine Islands or The P.I., after you got your Sea Bag...
IMHO I would not blast Fiberglass. You may blow a hole through it too easily.
If you try I would say at maybe a lower pressure? Just think it is too risky though.
I love the Tank idea. I may have to look into that when mine gets here. I have one of those places pretty close to me. $300 is probably worth it considering how much filters and pump damage can cost.
:ditto:I do like a glcaines idea of checking for binding.
All of the USMC trucks I drove had redline as 2500. Guess they changed the stickers so we wouldn't hammer them. Just saying. Not what is in the manual, but must have been a good reason??? I don't know.
I would look at the fuel filters and the Air Filter. If a no go on the Fuel or Air filters check the fuel pressure. If that is bad check the intank pump.
Did you just pick it up?
I am not sure about the lights. I am originally from Pennsylvania and it was the bumper height that they were concerned with. They didn't want you crushing smaller vehicles with our lifted pickups.
Can't wait to see the finished product. Looks like it is going well.
Unforgiven...don't forget to update us with the pics when you get this installed. I might be interested in getting one for mine if the sound reduction is worth it.
I would also think of adding something like Dynomat to the hood, firewall, and floor. I have been in a few that were field...
1st before you get flamed...Read the forums and Down Load the TM's:
Technical Manuals
Do not reuse the lines. If it blew out it is weak in more than one place.
Also, remember that this should be DOT 5 brake fluid. You Cannot Mix with DOT 3 or 4.
Also get yourself or build a Pressure Brake...
Edited Post at your suggestion.

Just trying to help someone out not advertising for myself.
Sorry
Sweet. The heater is a plus too.
Get a replacement Temp Gauge and Sending unit though.
I have heard that Coleman's is a great company to deal with. Glad to hear you had a good experience too.
Here is a remanufactured one for sale.
Edited: "I have removed the links in the post."
If you do a google search I have found a few good pulled units with guarantees on them for less than $1500
Sorry for the search...I put in LDT's .
"Just trying to help a brother out."
1st order of business sorry for the engine problem. That really sucks the green weenie.
Suggestion:
Why not look for a Crate LDS. I see them advertised all of the time. At least you know it is a runner and no headaches.
Again very sorry.
Did someone say women in camo shorts?:grd:
I didn't read through the whole list of things. But if you can unlatch it, and it has a handle, you can use a piece of 1x2 with a V notch in it to lift the hood. If you are not comfortable up on the winch that is.
