    Using a Mule in theatre

We have put weapons on every type of vehicle fielded. In response to the OPs question, I believe that the patrol was glad their crew served weapon wasn't mounted to a 5-ton. It would have been a bear to carry around! But seriously, truck mounted weapons werent a practical infantry patrol...

Another DUKW....I just could not pass it up

Clinto, well, everyone, I dont want to make you cry, but the last time I rode past this place on the Metro was about a year ago, and there were 4 DUKWs sitting in a row. I just pulled the map, and if you go to MSN Maps, and search for 882 Channing Pl,. 20018 (birdseye), you can still see one of...

    Now I did it...

~14v is normal for a12v battery that is cold, and is in need of a charge. Definately better than 18v though!

help me design a radio shelter

I didnt mean to suggest solar, but I have some inverter research that may come in handy. You can get quite a few hours out of batteries and inverters, not just a few minutes to scream around shutting down. One of my small batteries is 540 amp-hours. you would need 2 for 12v to feed the inverter...

My 5 Ton just Got Pulled BY GL?

It seems more like a ploy to get more money, than to say "Oh, by the way, you dont need an EUC after all."

help me design a radio shelter

Mike, I am in the process of solar-ing the AO, and have ammassed some information on batteries and inverters. Once you figure out what kind of power your gonna need, and pure or modified sine wave form, shoot me a PM. Also, I may have a tektronix you can have, really cheap. Yes, it still...

A3 Seat Covers: Who was it?

I got a few yards of 1000 dernier cordura, and had the local trim shop do the sewing. No more stinky canvas, or worries about water (sweat) saturation anymore

    Any suggestions on bumper?

Alot of heat, a big crescent wrench, and a pipe. And when youve gotten it close, a big friend to carry it over to the bigger anvil where you will be hammering it flat. Have Fun!

    M816 grill/brush guard difference

My 72 has a flat bar. But as I have seen the XMs had the tube grill. Who really knows what part you would get if you ordered one through the supply chain. It would be the next one on the shelf.

    M35A2 Deuce fix it

That is where your registration number went after they went with the camo paint. If it differs from the first part of your serial number, then that door has probably been changed.

    m200a1 value

I got a really good one for $400 (A2), and a better one from GL for $200(A1). I have seen them for as much as $1200 on fleabay, and $700 - $800 seems to be a going rate. But I wouldnt go over $400, and only if the brakes arent fudged up. Things to considder: both stabilizer legs both hand...
