    Exterior Latex/Acrylic House Paints

When I redid my M923, I also had it blasted and then I sprayed Chassis Saver by Magnet Paints. I am quite happy with the results. (I used an LVLP set-up in a homemade spray booth.) I read a bunch of the comparisons between CS and POR and RustBullet, etc., and in the end went with CS. If you're...

    Intermittent ABS light issue

This is good info, I hadn't read that yet. One of them fancy Haldex units, correct? I'm plowing through WP 0156 now to see how much progress I can make before having to track one of those down ... I installed one of those aftermarket Delco 21SI alternators last year and it's putting out just...

    Intermittent ABS light issue

Hello to all! I've had my 923A0 for about 3 years and it's behaved quite well. About 2 weeks ago, the ABS check light stopped turning off after the brief illumination cycle ... but not every time. I first noticed it after having parked overnight on a slight 4-degree downward hill. As I was...

24V Battery Charger Questions, who makes a good one?

I stumbled on this thread while looking for something completely different, but it just so happened at the same time I was 'engaged' with NOCO tech support about their G7200 model. My truck sits for weeks at a time and even when I drive it, there's not enough time for the alternator to throw a...

    M925A2 Delco Style Alternator

    BTW ... mine is a 923A0.

    M925A2 Delco Style Alternator

As I mentioned above ... I did a lousy job of sharing with this community how I did it, so please excuse the length of this reply and I'll give you my steps. 1. Remove the adjustment bracket and the mounting bracket when removing the bad alternator. 2. Take the new alternator and the mounting...

MV show at the XXX Burger Drive-in, Issaquah, WA April 12 SUNDAY

How strict is the "stay until 2pm" requirement? I have to be to work at 2pm, meaning I would need to leave around 1pm to get everything home and buttoned up in time ...

    M925A2 Delco Style Alternator

I installed this same alternator, but I've been really remiss in not doing a write-up. I connected just the two main wires, with nothing on the other two "small" terminals. It's been working great for about 10 months. (Mine is not a daily driver, so those 10 months are maybe 200 miles.) HTH

Rusted-stuck boom extension on M923 spare tire carrier

Me too, right!?!?!? [thumbzup] Maybe the wrong phase of the moon. Next time, I'll toss in a little fresh chicken blood as well! :p

Rusted-stuck boom extension on M923 spare tire carrier

For me the tire tends to roll over sideways, so I placed a couple sturdy 2x4's between the ground and the tank and Soldier B guided the tire down until it met the ground. That'll do in an emergency ...

Rusted-stuck boom extension on M923 spare tire carrier

As part of my restoration work, the boom was just recently sandblasted. It might be the perfect time to try the coke! Stay tuned ...

Rusted-stuck boom extension on M923 spare tire carrier

Not on the sections that are fused together. Great idea about the paraffin, I'm going to give that a try. Thanks!

Rusted-stuck boom extension on M923 spare tire carrier

The "rear" end is open; the inner piece is notched horizontally and slides into a small welded cross-member whose role is to prevent the extension from sliding out the back end. This is where I'm able to apply force to the inner pipe. I'm going to locate a scrap piece of the the same diameter...

Rusted-stuck boom extension on M923 spare tire carrier

Ain't that the truth! Of all the stuff on this beast, that's just about the easiest to have custom made! Thanks. MAnders.

Rusted-stuck boom extension on M923 spare tire carrier

I'm in mid-restoration and struggling mightily with the danged boom extension on my spare tire carrier. It is rusted tight in place. Here's what I've tried so far: Liberal application of PB Blaster, wait appropriate delay, attempt extension rotation from welded-on cross piece on front of...
