Just get some 1/4" hardware cloth and self tapping sheet metal screws (I use #10 x 1/2") and cover the large hole up. The two round drain holes below the batteries are blocked when batteries are installed.
That is literally the first thing I do to every machine that comes in. So many sets in civilian hands with folks completely unaware of the cutout below the engine.

This fuse looks to be out of stock a lot of places.... time to scour up an equivalent (I realized Im out of backup stock on these, and I want to buy a few more of the fuseholder too).

He referenced casters, which made me think flat industrial/poured floor. Got any friends who work at lumber yards? Those Moffett fork lifts will do exactly what you want.
My items are in Massachusetts. Those wires are a modification added (that was removed upon this machines removal from its previous use). You can either trace it back and remove the wires (and rehook stock) or just keep them connected together and tucked up and out of the way.
Same up here... out of stock for 75+ miles around me at one point months ago (haven't checked recently... but was sourcing 20 of them for actual stall use).
