Its good to be prepared, having a thorough knowledge of not only your equipment, but whats needed to keep it functional under all conventional circumstances. Looking good.
That's the beauty of the TMs... here is that part from the -24P book. Notice the bung is referenced with the same callout, 38. To go further than that, the page following this will give you part number and other good info referencing for this part (and all parts in the set).
That bung is available on ebay, in the updated grey nitrile rubber. https://www.ebay.com/itm/MILITARY-MEP-802A-803A-804A-DIESEL-GENERATOR-FUEL-TANK-DRAIN-NITRILE-WELL-NUT/224013193011?hash=item34283a0f33:g:-nYAAOSw9IdewIXl

That first relay is different than the others, nothing to worry about. It is correct.
Glad you got a local shop to fab up a line.
The fuel gauge has nothing to do with the operation of the aux fuel circuit. Its there for operator reference only. Some nitwit has the fuel gauges for sale in the...
Yeah it was a simple leak at the hex nut on top... just wasn't properly torqued down! Its a real clean unit, and that small panel can totally be taken off easily and dealt with with a rattle can and some prep. I just dont get involved with CARC unless I absolutely have to.
I do happen to have one here, but I know Jimmy is a lot closer than I so he wouldn't need to mess with freight. Thanks for the vote of confidence though Chainbreaker!
I will brag a bit on the 002 I have here... it was hidden away in a conex box... repainted in 06, only 5 shown hours! Had a...
Welcome. Hollingsworth and Libby are the contractors for those sets. Libby continued on and into the 80x series, but was replaced by DRS Fermont.
All are high quality machines, built to a specification. The only main differentiator, I believe, was some of the early models used an injection pump...
Thanks for the info. I was considering tooling up all three parts for replacement, but that skank corona put the halt on a number of things. Good to have for the future though.
Thats your call... set was designed for the pipe size as is. Larger shouldnt be a penalty (typically isnt on diesel systems as they do not want backpressure). I would just make sure you do not have needless angles or bends in the exit pipe.
Also if you run additional piping, you will want a...
They are not designed for any additional backpressure which would come from such an addition... I would not do it. These are very quiet sets... not hospital grade quiet, but damn quiet to me. Do you find yours is loud??
