Well I don't know what to tell you then... that filters its in all the 002/003s Ive had through. Its an old design though... if this is a machine for your use, I would convert over to the spin filters on both fuel and oil and not only have more convenient serviceability, but also better...
Can you source FRAM C1125PL locally? I believe thats what I bought for the last round of air cooled machines I went through. Like $10 on Amazon if you can't find them locally.

If your spouse can't stand the noise... find a friend with a big box style gas genset and run it next to your MEP when they are within listening distance.
Its not designed to have it, its only going to hurt performance. Perhaps you can change the location of the machine and its exhaust exit height, to help?
Anything can be done with enough ingenuity... I forget what the thread type is on those, but probably easy enough to determine with a thread gauge tool.
Ive replaced numerous LOP switches on the air cooled machines. Just connect the terminals together on it and refire like suggested above. I bet it will probably run right.
