    cable access boot mep 802A

I am thinking you might be forced into finding one for sale used from a parts machine only. I still think sheet metal is a better idea, as a mouse can chew through the bag.

    cable access boot mep 802A

If you are truly trying to mouse proof this set, you will use a sheet metal panel (with a rated electrical pass through connector) and just make the whole cutout disappear.

    MEP 803a Battery Drain

Well thats plenty fine then. We can all thank Generac's marketing dept. for folks thinking that they have to oversize these machines for their needs.

    MEP 803a Battery Drain

The 803 is DESIGNED to run at 100% rated power, 24x7. Don't be easy on it... try to get it to as fully loaded consistently as possible. It will actually run better, and cleaner.

    Integrating noco gen2m into MEP-802A

And I haven't run it for an outage since installing... so yeah, still waiting.

    Integrating noco gen2m into MEP-802A

When I spoke with NOCO before going with the 8A Gen M2, they told me that the charging element should not be powered while the machine is running, simple as that. Thats why I have the external plug setup on mine. Just unplug the NOCO as I walk around the machine, before hopping up on the trailer...

    MEP 802A stalling

Yes, fuel cap is a possibility. As is fuel lines that are deteriorated and pinching closed under use. Failing fuel pump, contents of the water fuel separator, etc.

    MEP 802A stalling

Welcome to SS Chris. Are you getting any fault lights when it shuts down? Is it a stuttering/shuttering shutdown, or does it sound like a regular engine shutdown? Have you gone through the fuel tank, to ensure there are no floating obstructions? Somtimes trash in the tank blocks the fuel...

    New (to me) MEP-802A

I think it depends on location. I wouldn't run low CCA batteries in New England. FL.... yeah can probably get away with it. But not for winter use.

MEP 803A Surging, Not holding frequency

So definitely ground that thing before you do anything else. Secondarily, consider running it at almost full load for the entire tank (and seafom) to allow everything to clean up. You will have a better running machine after it, I can almost promise.

MEP 803A Surging, Not holding frequency

If you are clearing out some wet stack, get a bottle of seafoam into that tank, and load it down.

    New (to me) MEP-802A

Good catch 69birdman. If you are intending to use this as a 120/240 machine Sgt Jiggins, you are going to want to change your AM/VM switch on the faceplate over to the 3 o'clock position. That is the right spot for reading the powered lugs, in single phase (if you examine the markings around the...

    MEP803A Lister Engine Build Number

I've had no issue getting Onan parts through my local Cummins parts dealer. If you have the Onan number, its in their system. Just that simple. Stock? Well thats a horse of a different color... but Ive only waited a week for my stuff before. They have a HUGE inventory of everything, nationwide.

    MEP803A Lister Engine Build Number

I think Mike understands what you are saying, but what he is saying is that many items on these machines show DoD as the manufacturer, which is a deadender. Whether on purpose, or simply how the directive of supply and design worked for the particular machine, many parts stall out at the DoD...

    MEP 802A Fix-up Thread

Here is a MOV that will work, for a real fair price: https://www.arrow.com/en/products/mov-14d151k/bourns Edit: Arrow used to give free overnight shipping for any order. Looks like they changed that. Oh well, still a real good price if freight isn't too bad.
