Thanks, guys. Gauge is 20 years old, but engine only has 5,200 miles. Oil is Rotella 15-40 with 50 miles or so on it.
I'll try the mechanical gauge. I was wondering about gauges, because I have two other gauge issues--fuel gauge reads really high, as in 1/2 a tank when it's near empty...
Mentioned in another post. Is that a pump that loads all the empty places so you have immediate oil pressure when you start?
If so, where can I get one, how hard is it to install, how much, etc?

Yeah, I got the same thing. Their policy is that you have to file a tax exemption BEFORE the auction ends, or it's too late. I b-tched anyway, and supposedly got a refund, with the same form letter as yours.
When I picked up my truck at Ft. Lewis the only thing missing was an instrument cluster light cover.
At Ft. Lewis, the GL yard is several hundred yards separated from DRMO, but is unsupervised. The GL folks there are always on a dead run, but offered any help I needed to get the truck...
The M35 I picked up last week came from Air National Guard with two auto type gel batteries.
These two batteries from 1997, and crank the engine beautifully and hold a charge well.
Are others having this kind of extended service life from gel batteries?
I have a two pin jumper cable set, and one truck with a NATO socket.
I need to adapt two pin cable to single pin truck. Anyone got one? I've got a two pin socket to one pin cable adapter, but now need the opposite.
