Work on the War Pig continues

The exhaust is on the passengers side. I'm debating on several different things. Duel stacks sticking out of the bed are always cool looking. A single stack sticking out of the bed would be efficient and still cool. A single run under the frame and out the back would work well, and keep the...

Hey guys, I love this web site, and I love working on my truck. Any thing I can do to help other people enjoy it also I'm all for. I was originally making the pictures small because they kept getting rejected for being to large. Just trying to figure things out as as I go.

Work on the War Pig continues

choped 6" off of the bull bar to drop it down today. I think it looks better, plus it clears the headlight.

Work on the War Pig continues

As far as the Painless system goes it is strickly a wiring harness. It eliminates all the wires going to the different accessories that have nothin to do with the engine. I didn't have a multi in her. She came with a gold comet gasser. I don't know much about the multi's, and there are...

    Cost to build a Bobber

My cost were pretty close to Recovry's estimates. I spent $500 for the "bobber" kit from Boyce Equipment. $100 for shipping. Maybe $20 in bolts, nuts, and washers. Another $20 for drill bits. Less the $50 worth of gasses for your torch outfit. The biggest cost factor is in having the...

Work on the War Pig continues

Those "little pecker looking things" are for hooking up chains, slings, what ever to. Come up under the bumper from behind and hang the loop over them. Puts the bumper into a twist, which is much stronger then just a straight pull. Plus it makes it impossible for the sling to fly off.

Work on the War Pig continues

got the bumper mounted today. I think it is to tall. I'm going to chop 6" off of it tomorrow. I added a small deck out of 3/8" plate for a Winch mounting platform. Also added a 2" reciever. Thought this might come in handy some day.

Super Singles Pics + info needed

I have 12" wide wheels with 6" of backspacing. That puts the hub in the center of the wheel, and gives me what I think is the correct stick out on the fender. Plus it puts the inside of the tire about in the same place as the originals, so there is no rubbing, and I get full range of steering.

    rear steering

I believe the "illegal" part comes in when your dealing with hydraulic compared to mechanical. Front or rear doesn't matter. I think you have to have a "mechanical" connection from the steering wheel to the wheels. With hydraulics you don't have that. Just fluid pressure. I think it is the...

Work on the War Pig continues

I did some research on where the term "war pig" comes from. I know Ozzie sung about it, but it's roots are a lot deeper. When Hannibal was making his march across southern Europe the Gauls noticed that the sound of squeeling pigs scared his "War Elephants." So being the barbarians that...

Work on the War Pig continues

I am seriously looking at fabricating a "dash" and mounting the gauge cluster in it. That way I can use everything as designed, and have the look and function of newer and more modern gauges. Thanks for input Joe. I was sort of thinking that was the way things worked, but I wasn't for sure.
