Just went out and checked the Neg to case and it was a dead short. Next question: What did I possibly damage because of this????

Gen 1 matches page f-11. Gen 2 doesn't F-11 has red to + and red/white to - Mine has a red to both with an additional orange to + This looks to be the same as the "before" picture that I took but it could be wrong.

Could I have the alt hooked up wrong? I took picture and made note that orange wire goes on top. The TM has a red with white stripe and a suppressor going to the Neg. and a red going to the Pos. Mine has a solid red going to both. The Pos has an additional orange wire (not in TM) going to it.

Anyway to check that? We did talk about it and he did my other alt. He seems very familiar with them. He mentioned the ground before I did.

I bought some 24 volt lights at the John Deere Dealer. Mounted in back but haven't wired up yet. I am planning on splicing into the blackout lights for juice so I don't have to add another switch, just flip on BO for backing up.

I "think" my M1009 is from the Marines. bought it from the base here and it is marked for usmc. Same paint as yours.....

I worked on the new M880 all day today. Got rid of the camper shell. Took it for a ride and it stalled three times at 50 + mph. Didn't like that too much. I think the carb is the problem (already replaced the filter and pump). It doesn't idle too well and I don't think the choke is working...

got her running tonight and actually backed it up so other cars can get in the driveway now. Smoothest running M880 yet!!! Only half of the light bar is working :(

Almost forgot, this one has all of the blackout lights. My other ones did not.
