Dryer under dash cycles over and over

Drill out the base and add a shraeder valve in place of the rubber disk and plastic pin dongle thing. Check it for moisture once a month. Or replace it. $40 or so.

    CTIS highway light continuously flashes

Break out the soap and water. Sounds like you have a leak somewhere.

    Driving thru sand

The tires will stay on the rim at any pressure. They have bead locks. I look at it this way: 1. The front of the truck weighs about 10k lbs. It's supported by 2 tires (the fronts). 25 PSI is Sand/Mud. It works and looks pretty bulgy. 2. The rear is about the same (10k lbs), but is...

    Air system question

I think setting the parking brake (venting the spring brake chambers) sounds more like a goose being strangled. The CTIS purging air sounds like a long honk. The CTIS checking pressure sounds like a regular honk. The air dryer purging when the tanks hit max pressure sounds like an air dryer...

    Driving thru sand

25psi is the sand/mud setting on the CTIS. 12psi is "emergency" (for extreme situations) Drop it all to "Sand/Mud" (25), shut the truck down, unplug the computer and drop the rears (unloaded) to 17psi. Leave the fronts at 25psi. The speed limit at these pressures is about 25mph. The...

    Air system question

Engage the spring brakes = the noise.

    Air system question

Te CTIS checks pressure in the tires every 15 minutes. If they're 15 min apart, that would explain it.

    Hid HeadLights

HIDs are 35 watts each. The sealed beams are 55 on low. Net wattage savings! Anyone know what the LED headlight's usage is?

    Driving thru sand

Wet sand is your friend. It's must harder than loose sand.

    Driving thru sand

Front digs in, tires fight each other (scrub), lose momentum...and you get stuck :)

    Driving thru sand

As mentioned above, make shallow turns (wide) and speed up for very soft sand. Always plan on stopping you truck facing downhill (or flat), never uphill. Don't forget your shovel. When in doubt, hammer down. :)

    Lunette Ring Extension ?

    Did the blade complain much?

My M936A2 is doing 53 in 5th gear at 2200 rpm.

What happens when you have it in 1-5 and you're going 50mph...then nudge it even more towards "N"? Does it actually disengage and free wheel?

    Azusa canyon trip 5/3-5/4

Good time. Nice seeing everyone there. Dezert ratt was really wheeling that deuce! Impressive climbing skills. Leo make some crazy climbs, too!

Trying to educate myself on the ctis

Could be something simple like a Shrader valve in the CTIS linen. 5 flashers means it's active and has a fault. The computer is working. 5 solid...is not good. :-)

Is the 8.3L Turbo Cummins the " best " engine ?

Reverse is just over 10:1 ratio (DEEP). So, basically, engaging the transfer case in reverse is SUPER STEEP (over 18:1). It's a good way to tear apart your transfer case on any of the versions. Floor your truck in reverse (high range) and you'll see what I mean...you'll be going sloooowwww.

    Oh man...that looks fun.

Is the 8.3L Turbo Cummins the " best " engine ?

I thought the A0, A1, and A2 used the same transfer case?
