Awesome. I got it working. I pulled back the rubber on the wire going into the sending unit, then pushed the wire back into the plug. Apparently it was not making contact the way it was. Thanks you very much. The wife is now going to be happy. She hates a fuel gauge that does not work.
I am in the process of trouble shooting my fuel gauge and saw this.
Love the float they rigged up.
Fuel gauge reads past full. I have 3volts at the sending unit. Sending unit reads 0.4 ohms at empty, and 33.6 ohms at full. Grounds are good 0 ohms at both. I am thinking it is the gauge that...
Thanks. Cool, nice to see another aircraft mech. I work on S-76, AB-139, and 407's currently. But sometimes work on. Bunch of other models. Worked on the ah-64 apache in the army.
I have been looking for a while, and can find the covers, but not the bows to hold the cover up. Can anyone help me find some. My truck did not come with the cover or the bows. Would like to find some for the 105 trailer also.
Thanks.
Never mind I figured it out. The part that sticks off the button actually plugs into the receptacle in the steering column. I thought it just pushed against it. Fished out the receptacle with some picks and plugged it in. Works every time now.
This thing is driving me nuts. I can use a screwdriver and the horn works. The button checks out with my meter. I cleaned the connections on the back of the horn button, the springs, and the nut where the spring hits. But the dang horn does not work with the button. I tried to extent the part on...
Got the CTIS working. The back right tire valve on the rim was blocked. I could not fill the tire with a air hose, so I took the line loose and the air started to flow. Been working ever since, and hope it stays that way. Also took the washer off the transfer case rod so it would not...
Yeah, it was about a 1.5 hour drive, and it was raining most of the way. Truck did real good though. Tested out the 6 wheel drive and the low transfer case just a little while ago, and it all worked great. It is a bit of a PITA to get it into L transfer, but I think it will get easier now that...
Thanks guys, I paid 9k for both the truck and the trailer. Hope I did okay. I got it home, road trip was uneventful so that was good. It really likes 55 but if your leg is up for it, it will do 65. Only issue I see is the brake lights are not working, going to look into that when I get back from...
Thanks, I already have more toys than I should. Guns are my main addiction.
Weather is horrible here, and we are about to leave to go and get the truck. It is 87 miles away, so it will take us probably 4 hours to get there check it out and get back.
